Nearly twelve years ago, I first posted a Blog entry announcing that having "struck out" in my attempts to find a physician who would prescribe the antibiotics for the Wheldon Protocol, I was "striking out" on my own. Not having any medical training, I did manage to put myself in the emergency room a couple of times, but my management of the endotoxins got better with time and I successfully completed the regime. Since then, I gained back just about everything the M.S. had taken away from me with just a few tiny reminders that I once had M.S. I retired last March and in a few weeks my wife will follow me "out the door". We are headed to a derelict catfish farm in Northern Arkansas so far away from anywhere that even Verizon's highly vaunted cell phone network can't hear us and that means I will disappear from all of the on-line communities that I have enjoyed over the years. Thank you for all the instruction, encouragement and support.

3/9 Symptoms returning. Began 5 abx protocol 5/9 Rifampin 600, Amox 1000, Doxy 200, MWF Azith 250, flagyl 1000 daily. Began Sept 04 PPMS EDSS 6.7 Now good days EDSS 1 Mind, like parachute, work only when open. Charlie Chan  In for the duration.&am

Hugh, please check your new messages to see what I sent you and let me know if the timescale is alright. Further than that, do have a good time in the wilds of Arkansas. Is communication really going to be that difficult? My sister warned me of the same thing before she and her partner moved up to The Isle of Skye, but I haven't noticed any difference!

Mac, we are all going to miss Hugh's enormous wit and intelligence, but I am so glad that he is yet another person now well enough to make such a big leap!

Hugh, may I make an hdwhit Patient Story?  I am asking this because you are one of the few people who have openly done it all yourself and in the future more and more people are either going to not get treated or have the courage to do it themselves, ether by buying the abx or by using herbs.

If I couldn’t find a doctor who would treat me for this infection, I’d certainly find my own way to cure myself.

May I state an analogy: were there was a burst water-pipe in my attic, and I couldn’t find a plumber, I’d certainly try to cure the leak myself, rather than live in a miserable flood. And I’d probably succeed.
