Of recent years, any new study involving chlamydia pneumoniae has been rather rare. This morning though, we found a brand new open source paper about cpn and coronary heart disease:

Dear Sarah
I would love to read about David treating himself for hypertension and various other problems. I myself have hypertension osteoarthritis, especially knees and fingers, as well as a chronic stuffy nose and chronic cough as a result of mucous drip into my throat especially when sleeping.
Neena
I am 76 years old. My daughter-in-law was diagnosed with MS and we are all very keen for her to start this new antibiotic treatment. We hope to be able to do this in the next couple of weeks by finding a doctor willing to deal with any issues like reactions that may crop up. My daughter-in-law is 43 years old.
I have been an active poilitical journalist most of my life and have felt for a long time that there must be a cure out there for MS which the medical community has largely ignored. I am very excited by the Wheldon protocol.
Neena, by the sound of it, you ought to be joining Sonal in the treatment! David started a couple of weeks after me, but finished sooner, with no symptoms returning in all this time. Apart from the heart problems, he had suffered with chronic lower back pain since his late teens which caused him to see an orthopaedic surgeon in Bristol, but all this has now gone.
His treatment was just the same as mine, although he could stand doing a pulse for a little longer than me:
Completed Stratton/Wheldon regime for aggressive secondary progressive MS in June 2007, after four years, three of which intermittent. Still improving bit by bit and no relapses since finishing treatment.
Thanks Sarah
yes I have been thinking of starting the protocol myself. I didn't mention earlier that last year in March my cardiologist insisted on putting a stent into an artery he said was 90 percent blocked.
So I have had chronic cough stuffy nose also chronic mucous drip hypertension heart issues and osteoarthritis since I was 43 years old.
I don't want to get distracted from Sonal,s treatment and therefore I have been postponing starting myself.
apart from antibiotics will I have to take all those supplements too?

Take all those supplements you say? Neena, you sound like my little sister when she didn't want to eat her vegetables! Actually, no. Only the antibiotics are compulsory: the supplements were chosen to be beneficial, vitamins D and B12 being especially so.
So, how much have your heart issues improved since the stent was put in? What does your blood look like when you cut yourself? If it is bright red and bleeding freely, fine, but if it is a strange purplish colour, and so thick that it stop bleeding nearly immediately, then you must start at once! David's was like that before he started treatment, but now it bleeds as freely as mine.

Dear Sarah
my heart issues did improve, but recently I have been feeling very tired doing very little and I sometimes feel breathless. In fact a visit to the cardiologist is very much due.
My blood should be flowing freely. I do not know as I have not cut myself recently. But I am also on blood thinners, which the cardiologist said under no circumstances I should stop ( or I would be dead!).
Anyway let me think about starting the protocol. I am reluctant because I dont want to distracted away from Sonal's issue which is severe/
will revert on this soon. thanks again

David's blood was so sticky that it nearly stopped moving, until he started this treatment. Now it is as free flowing as mine!

Dear Sarah
a good thought! yes I have ordered NAC for myself should start next week and then on to DOXy Roxi and the lot. But i feel a bit silly because for my age i am comparatively okay although not top of the line!
But i can move about doing my daily chores. I visit my kids and grandkids, do some reading, keep up with the news etc. Awful news here by the way with the right wing in full command after recent election.

Neena, you feel silly because of your age? You are only seven years older than David, and that is no age these days!
I am so glad that you have decided to do this: imagine not needing blood thinners anymore: going to see your cardiologist for a check up. He tests the thickness of your blood and sasy in disbelief that your blood seems to have thinned so much that you no longer need medication! It took no more than seven months for David's blood to correct itself.
Now, how did the current situation with Indian politics come about? Well, I might ask the same about this country, I suppose!

It is indeed a neat and useful article. I've referenced it on my webpage on other manifestations of chronic Cpn infection: http://www.davidwheldon.co.uk/chl_vasc.html

Excellent. A lot of the studies that were just gearing up when we first started abx treatment have now come to fruition. It's going to be fascinating to see the information blossom.

Fascinating you say Mac? Both David and I look up for new studies every week, but they seem to have evaporated. Infection is not fashionable, especially concerning chlamydia pneumoniae. We should have been able to fill up the research section by now, but no, I just have a very small handful of things to add.
Of course, anything new that I have missed will be gratefully received, so get hunting all of you!

56 y.o. with possible dual diagnoses that I am working to confirm this year: Ankylosing Spondylitis and Scleroderma, and minor Psoriasis.
This is worth reading about…
This is worth reading about and then comparing David's experience of treating himself fifteen years ago. In a week or so, I will add this paper to the research section along with the Catalyst programme and a couple of other things
