OzMan introduction

Hello everyone!

My computer doesn't seem to like this site - I can't seem to comment (with safari or chrome) on the thread welcoming me, so I guess I'll just use this blog post. Also, both web browsers are coming up as "Not Secure" when I come here, so I'll have to see about that, too.

Anyway, I'll be adding to this blog to post a proper intro. But am a bit hesitant sharing lots of personal details if it's not going to be secure.

Will finish this soon!

Pulse 4

Submitted by pjdelambo on Tue, 2018-06-26 16:39

I started my 4th pulse Sunday morning. In the past month my fatigue got worse again and I started to get muscle and nerve pain in my hips and legs. My lower back and my knees seem to be the worst. That is aside from my thumb joints which a slight bump feels like I am breaking them. Walking up stairs or trying to sit or get up off the floor is painful. I didn’t have that before. Although the best way I can think to describe it, is I feel like the Tin Man without an oil can. I feel and look like I am elderly lately.

Pulse 3

Its nice to see the website is functional again! I did my third pulse the week of Memorial Day (end of May). I’m completely off the prednisone and also weaned myself off the naproxen due to a bit of worry over side effects of Naproxen. Unfortunately I’m getting all the pain back in my upper body and now fatigue and muscle weakness is starting in my lower body. I have also developed curly coarse hair after having fine straight here my entire life. The doctor did thyroid testing and the results came back hyperthyroid.

Hints on the road

Yesterday I stepped into a movie, completely random on Netflix... it turned to be about MS. The movie was released in Autumn 2016, the period I got diagnosed. Casuality? Maybe... anyhow, it made me cry as a baby, re-remembering back... and this days, the Seas seem to be filled up with the amount of rain in Barcelona...

If there is someone reading... this is a nice and entertained movie to watch about MS.

I’ve been a member for a year and two months. I blogged recently that i’d felt great, a week earler, before a set back. I watered our garden, yesterday. It isn’t big, but it’s on three sides of our house, and the hose-reel isn’t convenient, and needs to be hauled around the house. I watered the garden, the vegetable patches, the borders, the greenhouse and the pots, grumbling, to myself, that I was so tired and weak, when I remembered that i couldn’t, and didn’t, do any gardening at all, for three or four years! I have so many vegetables growing this year i could open a shop!
