Formatting options in blogs - where did they go?

Body

Hi there,

Prior to the site upgrade, I had access to a bold button and heading styles (heading 1, heading 2 etc) in my blog. Now I can't find these formatting options. Does anyone know how to get them back?

Thanks,

Vanessa

Hi Vanessa, you might be like me in that my browser may not be entirely compatible with the website. If this is the case then you should be able to enable rich text to make those formatting options appear.   This used to be the default setting but since the upgrade it is something I have to activae each time I write something.

When you edit your blog, go to the bottom of the window and you will see the option to enable rich text, once you have clicked on it then the bold option will reappear.   Unless you problem is different to mine....

Hi Michele,

I always enable rich text and I get a number of formatting buttons (including the Italic and Underline button) but I don't get the Bold button or the heading styles that used to be there. I've tried a different browser but that doesn't seem to make a difference. I will just have to live without them!

Thanks

Ok, don't know what the problem is then... I did read something that Jim posted a while back, before the last upgrade about Firefox (the one I use) being a good browser for this site, but it still does not work for me as it obviously does for others.   I don't have a smiley face option any more...

I use either IE or Firefox, depending how the
fancy takes me, and I can do most things in rich text, but not bold, so I tend
to write in Outlook Express and, copy it in source mode then transfer it, then enable rich text:
anything in Bold or Italic or whatever
transfers as I wrote it, like so............Sarah

It's very odd, this inconsistency in the Tinymce rich text editor. I've read that there have been some difficulties in meshing this with the newer drupal software, and will have Bleu look into it eventually. There are other editors we might try if this hasn;t been corrected yet.
