CAPTCHA

Body

Hey ...This is a site for people likely to be disabled.  I am much better off than most, by far ... yet I have just failed FIVE times to send a PM because the captcha was wrong.  For God's sake ... if we are putting up these obsticles againsts disabled people, why on earth shouldn't the rest of the world.  Hey - sort it out!By the way, nice to see you, Northcircular! G

Supaguy - Problem was the site was attacked by spambots and the server people threatened to shut down the site unless something like this was installed.  Captcha only seems to pop up when repeated attampts are made to post either the same thing in a short period of time (like hitting send, not seeing your post, hitting send again, still not seeing it on the site, so hitting send again), or when traffic is high with a lot of guests and members online at the same time.  I'll check, but it may pop up more often if your account has been flagged by another member.  Maybe it's just a matter of 'unflagging' somebody.  Will check.  (If anybody knows Drupal well, please chime in.)

Hey ...The CAPTCHA thingy that I complained of was not one of those simple sum ones, this was several of those peculiar shapes that are alleged to represent letters.  These are the sort that those of you that do LSD or other stuff like that will have now trouble seeing all the time anyway. As I've said here before, I've got feelings.  I am not just some reservoir of charisma or some font of charm; within this shell there is a human being with feelings.  Here's how good my adding up is:Loada Yanks + A fair few Canadians + all verry hungry + heading for Bedford = better get your apron on & get bakin'!Anyway, my ego used to be bluck ... now it's black & blue.G

Hmmm, maybe it IS singling you out, Supaguy - it's just tweaking you a bit, trying to get a little attention, wanting to be noticed and given its due.  Maybe it has feelings, too?

Oh: I've never seen one of those here, but I agree: they are damned annoying! As for adding up,  how many months before I need buy an apron?............Sarah
