Okay, now that we've had a little work-in time:
Any remaining problems? Please put ONLY problems here, no appreciations or extraneous comments, as I have to get these in a list for the developer.
Some notes:

This is a personal problem. All blue is blah. I miss the warm colors, but I suppose life will go on.

I agree, Joyce, so it's not personal! All blue is blah! Is the colorful theme considered the "Fancy" one? Ah... pls don't go with all blue.... I feel comfort in the warm theme :)

Have I missed it, or did we not acquire a spell-check in the upgrade? (A girl can dream....)

MacKintosh, I am able to spell check my post with a keyboard shortcut. I use Firefox, on the Mac, so on my system the short cut is: Control-click.
This pop-up window appears:

Corinna, Thanks, but I was asking about the upgrade itself. Jim thoought we might have enough memory for a spell-checker in the upgrade.

Ah, I see. Well folks can use this in a pinch if needed til then.

After approx. 6 days of not being able to determine what's happening with the website, here I am, thank goodness. It's been so lonely.
Not hearing so many patient stories and experiences provide me with the strength ro carry on in my plight.
With profound gratefulness,

it won't let me post reply - maybe this will sneak through. Often it bounces back and says: Comment field is required.

2 things:
1) I was not able to make a new forum topic. The title field was a clickable graphic instead which took me to the main forum page. It looked correct, like a box to enter text, it acted as a clickable graphic though.
2) And, one picky thing (sorry): The addition of the line above the signature visually acts as a post break and the signature and next post then appear to run into each other. Anyway of moving the line to below the signature?

Jim I have not posted a new forum topic to see the effect for me. Will do. The Breaks between the posts I reported before and see it the same way that Corinna dose as mentally confusing, I spend time asking myself who is writing this post and having to look harder for the answer.

The signatures have been changed to put the line after the post. This will only be needed for the current theme, but it seems to be retrospective when I changed it.
The search function will improve as the database gets re-indexed. This happens incrementally so as not to use up all our server capacity all at once.

I have suddenly begun receiving 2 emails at a time instead of the one.

This link is broken:

TP try this:
http://www.cpnhelp.org/?q=antifungals_and_probiotic
Old links need to be converted to new ones by adding in the "?q=" just before the page name. If ever you get a page not found (i.e. by following an old-style link) just add the above into your browser url.

Maria, some browsers (e.g., Firefox) allow you to zoom the screen which enlarges the onscreen type for easier readability. I'm on a Macintosh so I'm not sure what the keyboard command would be on PCs, for the Mac it's "Command +"

Jim, the font size seems to be arbitrary at times. I just posted to Daisy's blog and my font was larger than the majority of posts without any direct input by me. So the standard font seems to be umpredicatable.

The masthead clickable hotspot might be too large. Checking "Recent Posts" I am unable to click the most recent post, the area is one large clickable hotspot which leads to the Main Welcome Page. Same with the top of this page: if you hold you mouse over the top few lines of the first post you can identify the depth of the hotspot. Can you decrease it?
EDIT: til that is fixed I cannot read my inbox messages, or click on anything else that resides in that bit of screen real estate.
Some threads are "Email this page" only -- no "Reply" option.

Some site problems appear to be Browser specific. I launched Internet Explorer to see if I could get into my Inbox that way and there was no overlapping hotspot. I did notice that the type and layout are different between the browsers, so am including a couple of screencaps here. Please note I'm on a Mac. Top pic is Firefox, bottom is Internet Explorer.

My IE-6 Browser in a PC with XP is getting a better view than Corinna. My Vista IE is also better than Corinna's view. Just for perspective. Corinna do you have editing software that could be coming into play or some such fancy stuff on your MAC?
24 Jun 2008 05:55 pm
I use different Mac operating systems and float between 6 different computers -- but all of them show the same views as I've posted. Nothing is running on the various computers that would impact view, we run pretty streamlined stuff on my end. Perhaps it is a Mac issue, but the Firefox live hotspot is a problem for me. Firefox is my default browser because IE no longer releases Mac versions, and Safari is lame, plain and simple. Just to be complete though, here's a screencap with the Safari browser:

Could not send a personal message (two days ago, with the blue format). At first, it appeared as if no text box. Then I pulled it open from the lower right corner. But, when I tried to send it, it bounced back something like "you must enter a classification" or some sort of similar term.
(and, hey, my eyes so love the new blue tones. It's so much cleaner and easier, too.)

Jim, I posted a response here: http://www.cpnhelp.org/node/4677#comment-35547
I broke the response down to paragraphs and as you can see the post has no paragraphs I included 3 or 4 for readability.
I think someone else said something about this somewhere during this change period.
Thanks,
Louise

Jim, Currently there are two new folks posting bloglike history for comment in the forum area. I could spend time asking them to cut and past into a blog I guess. But I am just commenting here to see if there would be a way that folks could be funneled into blogging initially after they sign in for membership? This sort of posting happens frequently, folks nicely address them however blogging for personal stories seems best.
Just more thoughts for input with upcoming changes.

Another request, could the signature be extended several more lines?
It would be helpful to give more information in this format if possible.
I am limited to three lines. It is better since the up grade but sure would be nice to post more personal info here to share what we are doing and what is working for each of us.
For instance in The signature here below at present; I could not get the NAC/Doxy/Roxi/Tinipulses to complete in the signature. I tried many approaches, finally have settled to running words together to get spaces to print.
Hope that we can get more space for the signatures.
Thanks Jim, Louise

Question Jim. Do all the signature change across all of the past posts when the signature is updated now? Please see if this is so it could cause confusion if it does with past threads.
PMessage me if you want me to go on and on about why Ithink this may be so
Louise
Signature cuts off on posts
Signature cuts off on posts
If previous post has formatting in it such as italics or strike through it causes the posts following that one to take on that format.
Haven't checked this one today but earlier, old posts had double signatures on them.
Can't find things using Search command that should be here
