Yeast with CAP?

Body

I have had noted high levels of IGG, IGM, IGA (12,000!) yeast titers (gut was very high) in the past, when not on antibiotics because of my dysregulated immune system. My Dr. orders these tests from Quest labs and also does his own blood and mouth cultures to compare.

With the CAP recommendations of glucose, high carb diet etc..for porphyria I am concerned about yeast problems. I do get the occasional line down my tongue, which I first noticed when I started feeling run down in my mid-twenties.

By all means we have debated this issue. Please put "yeast, candida" into the search box on the above right of the page and you will find some great threads on this question. If you are a newbie reading this page, please try the search function. You'll be amazed at what you can find that way.

Chris I use Saccaromyces Boulardii and it seems to work well. Flagyl is antifungal also.

Chris, Marie is being modest by not mentioning that she wrote a great page on Candida.  I'm not going to be modest by pointing you to a page that I put together from other people's information on supplements.

Plus there is a lot of information (as Marie pointed out) in threads that have discussed this subject.

Image removed.  Well, thanks Michele! there are many volunteer hours making up the meat of this website in addition to the forums.  It is an ongoing project but everyone ought to avail themselves of the various resources.  I think if you are new here, Chris is not but for others, it is easy to get very involved in the interaction on the forums, but the research pages and the handbook have resources that should be accessed too.
