yeast help
I have developed a yeast infection and am having trouble getting rid of it. My doctor started my on Fluconazole 100mgs for 10 days. It seemed to give some imprvoement but the yeast returned. I just started the oral rinse of Nystatin to see if that my help. I don't want this to get out of control and was wondering what others have used.
Thank you....

Hi Bonnie, Looking through
Yes indeed, The candida
Yes indeed, The candida abicans(yeast) does have all the symptoms of CFSi, brain fog is high on the list. I just finished the Difflocan and am using the Nystatin oral rinse.
I am so glad the Diffflocan is over, the die off effects were like herx reactions. The last couple of days have been hard to deal with to say the least. I also have started taking the oregano oil in my tea in the morning and watchhing my diet.
Looking into cfs, I also read that the muscles in the gut become sluggish and everything sits in the stomach longer. This will sometimes cause yeast and IBSi to develope.
Trying to fight the infection and yeast is almost all I can deal with at the moment. I hope I feel a bit better before my flight to Calif. next week for my appointment with Dr. P

Hi, Bonnie, FWIWi, from discussion a year ago.......
One of the easiest ways ISubmitted by jeanneroz on Mon, 2008-09-08 10:44.One of the easiest ways I have found to control candida is through the Wholeapproach.com method. In addition to diet modification you drink a daily mix of caproyl, bentonite clay (liquid) and psyllium. This was recommended to me by my naturopathic doctor in 2000. I've passed it along to a few others here (I think Cypriane uses it for Steve).
You can purchase the ingredients online from various souces (i.e., different sources, different prices).

Bonnie, I have had good results with Olive Leaf extract--the liquid kind. I put a dropper full in my licorice tea.
Kind of hides the taste. You may want to add it to your anti-yeast arsenal.
This is the brand I like:

Raven, thanks for the olive leaf extract information. I have heard of it before but never the liquid form. I will look into it and give it a try.
I'm still counting down the days to see Dr. Powell and feel very optimistic to his evaluation.
Hope your mom is feeling better today. Thanks for keeping us posted on her care.

Good Morning Bonnie.
Good Morning Bonnie. Years ago I thought that yeast may be my cause of CFSi like symptoms, this would be back in the 1980's just for some time prespective. I went googling for the book by which I followed the then recommended dietary approach. I am not suggesting only diet but perhaps along with some reccomendations that folks here recommend it could be used in adjuct. I Googled and found this website: http://www.yeastconnection.com/ I have not looked at it, just to know. But with your upcoming Dr P visit you could put diet recommendations on your list of questions if it seems right. Both prior to CAPi in my initial blood work I was neg for yeast and just this past spring again tested negative via blood work, Nutreval, for yeast so I don't have any personally tried suggestions to share but will be interested in what others share here to help you.
It is so wonderful that you can get to see DrP!
