Does metronidazolei actually kill the cystic form of Cpni, or deos it open up the cysts for the other abxi to do the killing, as happens with Lyme treatment?

Cpni doesn't have a cyst as
Cpni doesn't have a cyst as does Lyme. Instead, to survive antibioticsi that interfere with protein metabolism like doxycycline and azithromycin, it reverts to a non-metabolizing and non-replicating form called cryptic or persistent form while remaining inside the host cell. Since the cryptic formi appears to be anaerobic, and metronidazolei is an anaerobic bacteriocide, it's the agent of choice to cover this phase of Cpn so it can't survive to replicate.
The idea with the CAPi is to have antibiotics that kill the bug in each of it's three forms through which it would otherwise survive, and to have periods where all of these agents are being used simultaneously so that there is no survival escape route for the organism.

Hi Anne,
FYI too, a pretty good description of each of the three forms of Cpni that Jim discusses above can be found here:

Hope this helps! Hang in there...

Treatment for Rosaceai
According to Strattons
According to Strattons latest observation the cystic form is metabolizing and secreting HSP60 a much more noxious and inflamatory chemical than the LSP secreted by the other forms during lysis-thus his reccomendation in march of this year. I think his reasoning is to decrease the load of the cryptic formi prior to the initiation of Flagyli and Tinii. This is probably the reason the flagyl pulses are so notorious.
