Vitamin D3 interaction with B2

Dear all,

I have been trying to get my D3 level above 100 nmol/L (apparently life guards are at 150) because the D3 helps with so many things.

After 5 years of trying my D3 suddenly doubled & went to 167 nmol/L without me changing the amount of D3 I am taking (10,000 IU/day). The increase coincided with me increasing my B2 intake to 100 mg thrice per day.

Has anyone else found this?

Possibly (emphasis on that) the CPN is stealing all your body's B2. No matter how much D3 or sun you get the levels just dont come up - because your body is low in B2?? B2 is needed to process the D3 into your blood stream.

Any comments welcome!

Could be but I have never bothered being tested for vitamin levels apart from when I thought I might be anaemic but that was years ago.........Sarah

Completed Stratton/Wheldon regime for aggressive secondary progressive MS in June 2007, after four years, three of which intermittent.   Still improving bit by bit and no relapses since finishing treatment.

I have had my Vit D levels tested a couple of times.  I seem to recall that I scored something like 139 & 143.  As a diabetic, it is not too difficult for me to get any blood tests like that that I want.  I take 5000 IU's of vitamin D / day.
