Vitamin D3 as an inhibitor / regulator of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) production


 We've discussed the destructive effects of Matrix Metalloproteinases (MMPs) that are upregulated during Cpn infection on the board before.   So, as I just ran across an article that indicates that Vit D3 (not all that surprisingly) seems to decrease MMP production in M. tubercolosis infection, I thought I'd start a thread on it here, starting with the newest study...

Red, I am particularly liking the way your are handling the introduction of each item followed by then filing it the new item within the VitD3 related topic threads for ease of finding them. 

This approach seems to serve several functions. 

It allows the individual reseach paper to be available for discussion as a stand alone item.

And then it is really creating a strong informational base from which each individual can make their own assement based on recent leading edge research and make personal decisions regarding the relavence of VitD3 in their lives and their individual treatment plans.
