Vitamin D3 to children?

 Just wonder if anyone given vitamin D3 to children.

And how much then.

I dont have children myself but intreasted to know anyway.

Here in Sweden we dont get much vitamin D3 from sun in the winter.

More recently there was a small piece about Vitamin D3 & that it is now directly linked to childhood diabetes. I don't recall if I was watching a Canadian or American channel as we have both intermingled.

Anyway, a representative from the Diabetes Association of Canada (or US) stated he was very upset that doctors are not telling all of their patients to take Vitamin D3.  Then they showed a family with 2 kids, one had diabetes & they were giving D3 to both of the kids.

If you check one of these associations websites it might just tell you right there about how much to supplement.  I think, not 100% sure, it was about 400 iu depending on child size I guess.

I may give one D3 tablet a day to my son, worth thinking about.  Thanks for idea.
M.E./CFSi 20 years, intermittent.  Wheldon Protocol - Started NACi and supplementsi Sept 2007. Doxyi and Roxy full dose by Dec '07.  First Flagyli pulse January 2008.  Changed to Tinii in December 2008.  Stopped CAPi in February 2009 at pulse 16.
