The Power of Poop
On my recent visit to this Australian clinical researcher he referred me to this link on Freakonomics Radio: http://freakonomicsradio.com/the-power-of-poop.html
Professor Borody has told me that he has treated three MS patients so far (for bowel issues) and their MS has gone into remission. 3 for 3. He told me about similar experiences he has had with Parkinson's disease , which is mentioned in the interview.
This is particularly poignant when you consider this article posted previously: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/07/100719162643.htm
One of the benefits of Borody's treatment approach is that you don't have to know what the infection and then develop a drug to treat it.
This quote of many on his office wall tickled my fancy:
“It takes 50 years to get a wrong idea out of medicine, and 100 years a right one into medicine.” John Hughlings Jackson
Ironically, Jackson was a neurologist: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Hughlings_Jackson
