The Power of Poop

On my recent visit to this Australian clinical researcher he referred me to this link on Freakonomics Radio:

Professor Borody has told me that he has treated three MS patients so far (for bowel issues) and their MS has gone into remission.  3 for 3.  He told me about similar experiences he has had with Parkinson's disease , which is mentioned in the interview.

This is particularly poignant when you consider this article posted previously:

One of the benefits of Borody's treatment approach is that you don't have to know what the infection and then develop a drug to treat it.

This quote of many on his office wall tickled my fancy:

“It takes 50 years to get a wrong idea out of medicine, and 100 years a right one into medicine.” John Hughlings Jackson

Ironically, Jackson was a neurologist:

Just to allay everyone's concerns, the doctor has given his permission for his info to be made public.  Thanks, Tomtom8

Very interesting.  My internist was telling me about stool transplants and c. diff during my last appointment.
