testing for Cpn

Hello everyone,

My husband was tested for Cpni using a DNA sample. It is my understadning that this test only indicates that a person has had the bacteria, but not if it has been resolved.  Is there a way to test to see if Cpn is still active?

Jim is in his tenth week of treatment and is experiencing what I believe is the die of effect.  His symptoms have escalated dramatically and he is in a great deal of pain and extra fatiqued.  Is it possible for this die of effect to last this long?

Thanks for any informatin you might have.

I wanted to send that, but am back.

My battle has lasted seven years so far, but I am emerging from the swamp.  Yes, there is incredible fatigue and pain sometimes, but eventually it gets better - and better and better.  Stay with it.  You are one of the very few who has a doctor who is doing the right thing.  Tell him/her thank you and keep the pressure on as much as possible.  This bug is devious and will take advantage of any minute opening you give it.  I, too, have had it for a long, long time - since I was ten or eleven - and my life is approching normal now.
