sweat
I am still in process of increasing the minoi. Stupid question...I know that after an increase of 100 I react on the 2,3and 4 days. During that time my sweat smells horrible. Does anyone else notice this. I am hoping that this is common.

Sorry, no help on this one. The only thing that made my sweat stink more was when I first went on Vit D. increases. I'd say this whole thing stinks, so what's a little more?

How curious! Only the other week I remarked to Sarah that, when her illness became progressive, and especially during the first few months of treatment, her skin and breath had a stale and flat smell. Now it is sweet and lovely again. Someone out there who works in an institution with decent facilities (gas-liquid chromatography?) might care to look at the volatiles profile of breath in this infection. There's a lot of interest in this method of detection. This is such a hard-to-diagnose infection that something like this would be a breakthrough. It works in other infectionsi [Hanson CW 3rd, Thaler ER. Electronic nose prediction of a clinical pneumonia score: biosensors and microbes. Anesthesiology. 2005 Jan;102(1):63-8.] and I believe it is being developed for rapid diagnosis of TB. Jim: I'll send you a pdf on the 'electronic nose'.
Could it be the porphyrins? I noticed our two dogs sniffing at my breath more when I are feel "toxic".
And porphyrins come out in sweat as well, I find in anecdotes -- but don't have a good quality link for it, yet.
