Sores on toes
27 Jan 2010
I have had the weirdest symptom in my whole repetoire of things I have had wrong with me. I think this one takes the top in the weird category.
Out of the blue I developed a red sore spot on one of my toes. Then I began to get more until I had these red sore spots on each toe, except my little toe. They are located on the bottom of the toe, towards the top which makes walking painful. They HURT. They feel like what burned and blistered skin might feel like. Many of my toes are just very, very red on the bottom of the toe near the top of the toe and at the tip of the toe. I saw a Podiatrist who, when he heard I have some Reynauds Syndrome, diagnosed it as PROBABLY Chilblains which I had never even heard of. I guess they are more common in people with circulation issues, but they also can be idiopathic and they also can be associated with Connective Tissue Disease such as Lupus.
I do have elevated Autoimmune Antibodies, but was told by my LLMD that is due to the infection(s) I have.
The way the Chilblians work is that the feet get cold and then if they heat up to rapidly the small capallaries can burst and you get red sore spots.
Can anybody think of how this might be related to CPN? Has anybody ever had anything like this? I am using steroid cream and also an aloevera product with Calendula etc and Vitamin A oil on them, but it just doesn't seem to want to resolve.
Any thoughts on this would be really appreciated.
