With any luck we should be switched over to the new upgraded software in the next day or so. You shouldn't notice any differences really, although the signatures on the blogs may start to appear. Hopefully we'll be better protected from spammers and have some speed improvements. Then over the next month or so some of us will be putting together a new design for the site which will present a clearer format for new folks, more familiar looking forum formating, and some other improvements.
But if you find the site off line for a couple hours, you'll know what's up! Keep your fingers crossed.

Thanks, Jim! The difference

Man, this is getting weirder and weirder. Are we supposed to only be seeing post titles? Certainly makes for entertainment. Life is like a box of chocolates and all that.

Jim, what has happened to
Jim, what has happened to the comments log and active forum topic list? They aren't showing up for me and I don't see anywhere that I can turn it on? Not to mention my sig is gone on this post (wasn't there to begin with); however, I made a comment earlier and it was there although the strike-thru I used at the end wasn't showing up.

Jim, is there a way to
No, sorry. Turns out there
No, sorry. Turns out there is not any way to retrieve them. This seems to be the only unrecoverable fallout from the site upgrade. I lost mine too! So it goes.
The drupal system has so many modules working for us that if one module isn't in the new version the data can get lost. On the upside- signatures work on the blogs! And our site security seems better. Things like site search and google search will work better as time goes on as both need reindexing to work better.
