Raise the Flag (yl)

This is a short blog entry about being under the influence of Flagyl.  The first 2 days when I measured my 1 mile run/walk it  was a thing of beauty!  My time was 4 minutes for each lap of 700 feet- today it was more than 5 for the 1st lap and I was VERY tired after 3 laps and 17 minutes and stopped.  I ran not 1 step!  It was only 8 hours after my 1st dose and 1 1/2 after my 2nd.  I have to write this now because at this rate I will forget how to write by tomorrow!!  See you later......

Not sure where to put this piddling little piece of information.  The radiologist just looked at my latest MRI and to give him lots of credit for his good nature had ONLY that one, not rhe previous four so no comparisons except my memory of a "huge snowdrift".   Marie, there was flair- nothing there.  there was enhancement- one lesion and a few (my description) sea salt  grains.  All in all, I think Wed. will show vast improvement.  Dr. R.  said maybe I should wait before saying anything but you know- just couldn't do it.

Oh lord I hope you can post it on here surely someone somewhere can manage that for us....I am thrilled for all of us! Oh the excitement! Thrill chills I was weak today I am not sure why. I'm not on flagyl or anything, and my legs are mildy jumpy again. I'm thinking of my next flagyl pulse about 10 days from now with pleasure hoping to get something else new going on ..In between I can vicariousy enjoy your fun, eh? Someday it'll be me marie

It made no sense then and it still doesm't- a few months my legs were really bad and it was a week early for my Flagyl.  My legs for three nights very plainly said do it!  So I did - a week early.  I would swear after I began Zith evertthing sped up.  In any case, that was what I needed.  Maybe I have gotten beyond that level now.  I have since discovered melatonin and that has made a huge difference in my life and my sleep.   Life on these drugs is very much up and down day to day.  You are doing very well- I don't think anyone here has ever had an exacerbation.  Certainly I have not heard of any.  It is now about 7 weeks since Avonex.

Marie and Rica--I have been noticing increasing spasticity in recent days, which has subtly affected my mood.-and I know it is the same as Nov. '05[immediately pre-cycle].  I expect to report an improvement in just a few days.  I'll let you guys know.

Wheldon Protocol for rrms since Oct '05.  Added LDN 4.5mg qhs Oct '07.  All supp's.  Positive IGG's for Lyme Disease,Babesia, & Erlichiosis Sept. 2008.  Currently:  Mepron 750mg bid and Azithromycin 250mg qd for Babesia.

Well just to keep up in the same page thread, my legs turned out fine for sleeping last night again. No spasticity med or anything. I just had that little bit of slight jumpiness in the after noon. It's' funny how a thing like that is-immediataely I had a creepy Oh no! feeling in my stomach and I thought 'I knew it was too good to be true to not take that darned medicine', but no, the legs settled right down to nice and peaceful again after I stretched a little bit-mind you when you are spastic the muscles fight you all the way if you attempt stretch, but no fight: they just gave into softness. I have now had nearly two weeks of freedom from the spasm med and in general just seem to be getting better in that regard. marie

Excellent news Marie!  I totally sympathize with your description of that "creepy feeling" when you can feel the jumpiness in your legs.  It's so annoying/depressing/painful/unsettling/insomnia-inducing to have the night spasms.  I have had a few nights since the beginning of the year when the spasms have come back and no sooner have I decided to take a tiny weeny 1mg quarter pill of zanaflex and do a few more stretches/walk to the toilet than they disappear.  I do hope you continue not to experience these devils!!
