This is the story form http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2008/aug/06/health [88]

Oral antibiotics are to be made available for the first time without doctor's prescription under guidelines approved yesterday by the medicines regulator.

A pill to treat chlamydia, the most commonly diagnosed sexually transmitted infection, will become available for purchase in pharmacies across England later this year.

Ok, so first of all, thanks for a great forum on this disease! Everybody, remember to help each other all he time, chl. pn. victims need all the help they can get, and together we are stronger!

Now, here's a couple of things I've thought about:

First, Chl. Pn. is not an uncommon infection,  in fact, around 50% ofthe five year-olds in an area can carry the infection, and when you look at people around the age of 70, 70-80% of them have antigens for chl. pn. in their blood.(1)

But there isn't millions of people suffering from the various symptoms of this disease, as it should be if it affected everyone. Something makes people more or less vulnerable to infection of chl. pn.

Elevated IGE in because of cpn infection? [91]

Hi to all !

Does anybody know if CPNi [93]i [94] can cause a high level of serum IGE (mine is 3000) ? Maybe because of asthmai [11]i [95] or to cpn in general? I know that intracellulari [96]i [97] bacteria like coxiella burnetti can cause IGE levels that high. So why not cpn?

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read this post.

I was not able to locate information referencing contraindications to my Rx topicals.

Please pardon me if this is covered elsewhere.

I'll start with a bit about where I'm at and have been.

Mental

I'm a graphic designer who works from home. I have a happy homelife and a positive worklife. I believe that i am a healthy person, I just do not physically feel like one. I have long suspected that everything I experience is tied together, so am really happy to see this Web site. I want to live my life again: I want to go outside into the sunshine; ride a bike; shop in a store!

Jim K. said the following regarding the use of the FIRi [101] Sauna to help rid our bodies of Cpni [93].

"One of the reasons the FIR sauna is used is to create artificial fever, which seems to kick in immunei [40]i [102] system cells that don't function well at low body temp."

Would a hot tub create the same "artificial fever"?  I have a hot tub, but no Sauna access.

Has anyone here been diagnosed with "adrenal fatigue" or "adrenal burnout"? Been treated for it? Recovered from it?

The new doc I'm seeing says it's critical to treat any adrenal fatigue that may be present or CAPi [110] won't work very well or will take longer than necessary. What do you know of adrenal fatigue and its relation to chronic infection and recovery?

a miniscule marker in my treatment, but I have NEVER in my life had a coldsore..... and I now have one that appeared this morning out of nowhere.  Guess the antibiotic's are finding the infectionsi [41] in my body!  Last week,  I was getting small, inflammed red bumps (looked like a pimple coming on)  randomly around my mouth... just a few.

Past two weeks have been EXTREMELY difficult -- my fatigue and weakness have me down almost all day.... I am having "wiggy" porphyric episodes again (waves of anxiety... chest pain, coughing), which seem to dissipate with sublingual b12 and Vit C (as long as I stay in bed and don't move around).  My lymph nodes in my left arm, shoulder and neck are swollen and very tender....

Sometime between 14 to 7 days ago, virtually all the skin tags around my neck and shoulders turned into flat brownish patches. Now there's just pink, new skin like a small sore is healed where many of them were. I think they're gone!

I noticed it a week ago. I had just removed a particularly annoying one the week before that. I was checking how it was healing, and here I was covered with these dry, brownish patches where all the others had been. I showed Dianna, and she confirmed it.

I suppose my immunei [40] system is recovering enough to keep the HPV suppressed again. I'm going to take it as a sign of my improving health. I've never heard of this, so thought I'd better record it. If they come back, I'll post here again and let everyone know.

Low IgG and IgM and Intravenous Immunoglobulin [115]

Hi everyone,

Part of the bloodwork that I had indicated that I have several deficiencies in my immunoglobulins.  Specifically, I have a very low IgM, IgG3, and IgG4. (My total IgG looks normal, but those two subclasses are below normal levels.)

Have any of you had any tests with those sorts of results or any other Ig deficiency?  Have the tests improved because of/during your time on these antibiotics?

Do the IV antibodies have any chance at all at getting at the cpni [93] inside cells?  Hmm... also, if it does get to them, do I run some sort of risk by having them go nuts on the cpn?

If you have had experience in general with IVIG, I would like to know how you responded.

I believe my doc is willing to treat me with intravenous immunoglobulins to bring the IgG up.  However, if the IgG is low because of CPN or something like it, I'll definitely need to keep on the abxi [7].  However, I'm scratching my head as to how to tell the difference between the IVIG fixing me and the abxi [116] fixing me. (I have read stories of people who only needed one or two infusions and they were actually completely "cured"... it seemed that their body just needed the temporary boost to get their own systems going...)
