Minai's recent post elicited me to submit this info (Minai  has MSi [54], is treating for CPNi [96] and stated she had Bell's Palsy at one time). My mother had Bell Palsey when I was about 12.  Most of our weekends were spent in activities like fishing, picnics or mushroom hunting... all outdoor or in the woods.

I just recently discovered the state I grew up in is ranked 16th in the nation for Lyme disease.  I still sometimes question if I have lyme even though my test (it wasn't a Western IG Blot) was negative.

Someone on this cite took their daughter to this doctor -- (Dr. Virginia Sherr).  I researched her as she is located near my city.

I know this is a CPN board not lyme but the information was rather interesting:

Scientists are looking at the possibility that a cocktail of worm eggs, intended to hatch inside the bodies of those who swallow them, could be used as an MSi [54] treatment.

A recent study suggested that people already infected with this kind of worm, known as helminths, experienced fewer symptoms of MS. This has led the FDA to approve a small trial of the therapy next month on five patients

Sunday night I went to the emergency room with severe abdominal pain (upper/lower left quadrant, front and back – [as an aside, I have experienced pain on my left side since almost the beginning of my ABXi [10] in April of last year –2007].  I kept contributing the discomfort to possibly die off and/or my spleen.  My dr. could never find anything on x-rays or a cat scan, so I just kept plodding along, as it was not intolerable.

Broken Duck/ First Pulse :-) [112]

Submitted by Minai on Sun, 2007-08-12 14:53.
  • Diseases [3]

I have now officially "broken the duck." That is, completed my very first, 1000mgs Tinidazole pulse, yesterday! Laughing

The only ill effects that I experienced were an increase in labrynthitis and dizziness; and, becoming slightly over-emotional.

The jaw pain (that I was told was caused by anaerobic infection, by my dental surgeon) is gone! And, the severe Raynaud's symptoms that I have been experiencing for months, gone, too!!!

I feel so much better from Tini, not worse!!! I just hope that this will all last and that I do not experience any adverse, delayed reactions!
