Exercise -- HAVE TO DO IT! [1]

  • Multiple Sclerosis [2]
I've been getting weaker and weaker and weaker!!!!  as I'm sure alot of you experience.  This has added such worry and doubt about my future!  I used to go to Curves but decided that I just couldn't continue since being on the CAPi [3].  So I ended up getting worse and worse.  So I decided that this just couldn't continue.  So I got myself down to Curves (I am blessed to have one within reasonable vacinity).   It was so hard and I couldn't do 1/4 of what I did before I quit.  But I was helped alot  and enjoyed the companionship and being around smiling, boucing people.  I'm so glad I went -- it was not enjoyable but I was proud of myself and will go tomorrow.  I hope that others of you can do something like this.

6th pulse done [4]

Finished number 6 yesterday without trauma either good or bad except they're so hard to do.  I had two bananas yesterday because I'm not getting any potassism in the supplementsi [5].  I do think this made a little difference in my stamina;
I'd appreciate any comments on this.  Fall has been beautiful; weather's becoming colder and wetter.  Bye for now.

1 week post pulse -no energy [6]

Should I be THIS wiped out?  My 5th pulse (thought it was my 6th) ended about a week ago.
I went to grocery store and couldn't even keep pressure on the lever to keep the scooter in motion.  After picking up about 6 supplementsi [5] I made it home and literally dropped on the bed.
I spend most of the time just sitting on my chair in living room.  This is how my days are; I just gave you an example.

I have never taken moppers.  Would these help?

6th PULSE [7]

6TH DAY (and last day)! of my 6th full pulse.  My pulses have not been too unpleasant so I decided to extend by a day.  This is the first time I think I have had a reaction -- my neck and shoulders have been so sore and it certainly isn't from any exercising.  This seems so minor compared to what others have experienced; but I'm hoping it truly is a reaction.  Just realized -- 6th pulse --that's 1/2 year!  Bye for now.

4th pulse done [8]

Finished 4th full 5-day pulse yesterday.  Slept a lot of time sleeping; am continuing to be worse than ever before but looking forward to feeling better one of these times (months hopefully, years probably).  Enjoyed the Olympics, DNC and now the beginning of RNC.  Verrrry interesting times!  Can't really get into reading right now so ordered a jigsaw puzzle (love them).  I'm sure it will be a challenge to work it as my new kitten will want to 'participate'.  Bye for now.

3rd PULSE done [11]

Finished 3rd blog -- 5 days.  I dislike them tremendously but I think it's because of normal reactions to metroi [12] vs CPNi [13] die-off -- extremely tired, weak.  I hope not.  I feel that my MSi [2] is progressing to the point that I can't go very far at all with my rollator like I used to.  The reason I think I'm progressing instead of CPN die-off is because this progression began before I started CAPi [3].  I have never been tested; DO YOU THINK I SHOULD?  On the positive, I got a beautiful Himalyian kitten yesterday -- I think I'm calling her Baby Bleu -- I'll post a picture of her one of these days.

At 2nd pulse end [14]

I'm on the fifth day of my second full pulse.  I've had no problems and am wondering if I should continue the pulse more days.  The reason for the question is that I think I have read here (someplace) that more days are better.  I'd like to be off the pulse, I guess because I keep waiting for negative reactions and feel that days are consummed with taking pills, but if it would be effective to stay on, than I will.  BTW because I am not having negative reactions, I worry that this "isn't working" for me.  So, 2 questions: 1) should I go more days and 2) is it common to not have negative reactions.  This site is a lifeline and I actually feel close to you all.  Look forward to hearing from someone.

Now taking Doxy the right way -- with food! [16]

Today I started taking Doxyi [17] with food after taking it wrong since I started!!  I was taking EVERY thing the very first thing in the morning on an empty stomach!  I don't know how I got the idea I was doing it right.  I'm through with my pitty party and am just happy I found out about the "right" way (thanks, Doglover).  BTW, it was clear in the FAQ section under the new Getting Started tab -- I had even read it last week -- guess I just didn't "see" it.   So, I don't have any questions or rants, just wanted to get this into "my journal" so I can look back in a few years and say "see how my mind was working THEN".

I'M NEW [18]

Submitted by macorn on Fri, 2008-03-07 16:35.

I finally got the nerve to post.  This is intimidating.  Live in WA state.  Was in Austin TX for 30 years with a cabin about 1 mile from Willie Nelson on Lk Travis.  Diagnosed 1990; now have SPMSi [19].  Have had all the usual treatments plus metal clips in spine with (now dead) battery in left hip (by Metronics) installed 1992 (that was not a happy time).  It did not ease my pain AND I cannot have a MRI because of the metal.  I don't have a supporting neurologist or GP so I would be very appreciative of help with supportive dr names.  I guess that's the pertinent info. Whew!  But I sure am glad to have been pointed to this site.  Incredible information.
