Summer is flying by
By wiggy

I want to update my blog while I can. My vacation was great and I was able to keep covered up and enjoy the beach. I am leaving again this weekend - so counting pills and doing laundry. I am still taking 400 mgs doxyi [1] + diflucan. I am keeping a journal as I am up and down but managing to get out. For Barbara: My spasticity is much improved and I am giving credit to the meds. I am on the stationary bike - keep in mind a very slow speed, can't get bike to light up also had to use hands to pull up legs to keep going. Just this week I was able to bike with no hands. I starting screaming to husband and daughter "look, no hands"!!!!! I also was pedaling hard enough to get lights flickering - I'll take it. My mobility is still a problem due to heat, poor energy (even thou I take a lot of supplementsi [2]), I am tired. I take my cooling vest out with me as its too hot. Toenail fungus - about 95% gone, I have changed my diet to cut sugars and white carbs to combat yeast problem. I am still eating fruit but not as much. Mainly protein and vegies. I am not even taking glucose. I am taking lots of probotics, B-12 injections, water, epson salts and benadryl is on hand. My new doctor told me to try molybdenum for die off (started yesterday) I did have a herx just before last vacation - legs in mud, not moving well and this lasted 1 1/2 weeks. I am anemic (? Spell) again - taking iron again. I am all bruised up due to b12 injections. Dr. ordered thyroid bloodwork. Now, how long will the spasticity stay at bay? That is the question. Barbara asked why am I not recovering like Sarah and Rica, My answer - I am, just not as quick. I think 1. I have a few co-infectionsi [3] + cpni [4] 2. I was in worse shape for a longer period of time 3. Probably other reasons I can't think of right now Thats all for now

Wiggy,  Sounds like you're making some progress.  Have fun on this next trip.  Are you feeling any more inclined to take the IV plunge?

Hi Joyce, The IV plunge [11]

Hi Joyce, The IV plunge scares me at this point but I would consider those IM injections - need to do some research.

Joyce, I think there is a IM Bicillin that I have heard of - I think Daisy talked about this option. Its a shot instead of IV but need to do a lot of research :)

Still not on a team yet.

Submitted by loriyas on Wed, 2008-08-06 14:08.

Still not on a team yet.  She is trying out for a U 18 team in a town about 45 minutes from here tonight.  She will not be playing for the organization she has played for the past 3 years.

good job wiggy's, Slow & steady wins the race.

Joyce, you probably figured this out, but just in case you are still enveloped in fog...IM I think is intra muscular instead of IV.

Keep up the good work.

Ruth, Thanks for this DUH

Submitted by cypriane on Thu, 2008-08-07 13:15.
Ruth, Thanks for this DUH moment. Okay, IM as opposed to sub-Q, gotcha. Yes, something else I've known before that got lost somehow. My last thought on the subject was "ivermectin?".

Wiggy, good to know that

Submitted by Michele on Thu, 2008-08-07 13:47.

Wiggy, good to know that the holidays went well and that you are even up to doing it all over again.   Great to get that bike flickering, it will be a steady light shortly.

And you are winning the fungus war too.....
