Kim is just getting ready to start her 7th pulse!

I wanted to get Kim some porphyriai [1] support and I came across Chlorella.  I found a bunch of posts about it, but none of the ones I read said anything about mg's.  The tablets I bought are 1000mg each.  How many should Kim take?

I've also noted that folks seem to take them just about anytime so long as it's apart from charcoal.  But, has anyone found a best time to take Chlorella?

There is also suggestion that Chlorella can help with tiredness and upset stomach.  However, this info seems to be less direct.  Kim takes glucose for tiredness and upset stomach right now.  But, does Chlorella also help with either tiredness or upset stomach?

Ken

Wow Kim, pulse 7

Submitted by ruthless1 on Wed, 2008-07-30 17:10.

Wow Kim, pulse 7 weeeeeeeeeee!!!  good job

I take yaeyama chlorella but I buy it in bulk powder form & mix it with my green juice with my morning vitaminsi [3].  I use one heaping tsp & my movements are regular.

As far as the gut aches, I have been getting more of them recently so I know the abxi [2] is gettting to the critters there.  I eat the hard candy smarties that I bought in the US for this - glucose/dextrose helps.   I haven't increased the yaeyama to 2 times a day yet.  I think I might add a midnite feeding of charcoal before that because at the moment; as I take Chitosan instead, I haven't needed it.

Hope this helps!

Onward & UPward!

Submitted by lee mcghee on Wed, 2008-07-30 17:12.

I read that Cholerella is used for detoxification, reduce high blood pressurei [9], lower serum cholesteroli [10] levels, accelerate wound healing, and enhance immunei [11] functions in humans.

It sounds good to me. I think I might try it

Doesn't time fly when your having fun... can't believe Kim's at #7..... .here is a link on one of several conversations on this site re Chorella

I take the Jarrow Yaeyama 400 mg.  usually 5 tablets (2000 g.) a couple of times a day. You can take it anytime as it is my understanding that it doesn't "suck up/absorb" what is in your stomach like charcoal.

Submitted by Michele on Fri, 2008-08-01 05:20.
I take up to 2gm a day of Yaeyama Chlorella. For me the best effect is a lowering of my IBSi [6] symptoms I have not noticed that it has much effect on fatigue either for me or Ella.

Thanks, very interesting.  Kim reports improved IBSi [6]-like related maybe stuff today.  She's been taking 1gm around lunch the last 5 days.  Today seemed like somethinng of a breakthrough, like she feels much better today than yesterday.  What do you mean by, IBS symptoms?  Or is that too personal?  Ken

I take tablets that I get

Submitted by Andesine on Wed, 2008-08-06 05:06.

I take tablets that I get from these people

http://chlorella-europe.com/ [23]

each tiny pill is 250mg and I take around 12 a day. Not exact, I just grab a handful.

Energy - I've not noticed a difference with it, I take CQ10 for that, but it has helped no end with sluggish bowels.

I take mine in the morning as I take my abxi [2] at night.

I suppose I would describe

Submitted by Michele on Wed, 2008-08-06 09:03.
I suppose I would describe my symptoms as having a gripey tummey, with alternate bouts of diahrea and constipation.   Most of the time it grumbles away until I can empty my bowels.   There is some improvement in the way it feels once that has happened but it gradually returns.   It also has some effect on how my legs and feet feel....  The Chlorella seems to stabilise things, also will improve the painful symptoms for days at a time, but inflammationi [27] can return at times for reasons I don't understand too well, in spite of the length of time I have put up with this.

I take Source Natural brand

Submitted by Louise on Thu, 2008-08-07 12:24.
I take Source Natural brand Yaeyama Chlorella 200 mg tablets in 300 tablet sized bottle, locally the cost $13.15.  I take 2 Gms (10 tablets with lunch) primarily because I want to increase the chlorophyl in my diet.  IBSi [6] - constipation and IBS - diarrhea is fortunately off the list of my treatment concerns.  Chlorella is easy on my stomach so that is a plus for any supplement that I might choose to take. Taste wise it does taste green and looks green tooSmile!  Louise

I also use SN, but the powder form.  I mix a heaping tsp in my green juice in the morning to make a very green concoction that makes it easier to swallow my supplementsi [29] with! (bonus).  I also have Now Foods chlorophyll in the fridge that I occasionally, say 3 X a week add to my carrot juice.
