Hi,
Paula is concerned that as now she takes the Charcoal in powdered form (about 4 grams 3 times per day) instead of in capsule form, this means that the charcoal is absorbed much faster - ie no capsule to digest first.
She is now completely 99% bedridden so is virtually completely in the horizontal position, which will probably effect digestion. She tries to take the charcoal 2 - 2 1/2 hours after and before anything else.
So my question is, because of the above, does it make that much difference taking the powdered variety of charcoal?
ie- if she had a meal and supplementsi, or just supplementsi 2 hours previously, is it a bad idea to take powdered charcoal, saying as it would be absorbed straight away instead of the a charcoal capsule slowly disolving first before the charcoal itself hits her system?
I hope I'm getting my point across properly - it's just she/I am understandably concerned in case her body is being robbed of nutrients.
ROLL ON SATURDAY WHEN I WILL TRY TO GET HER TO TRY CHOLESTYRAMINE!
Mark
