Please help with Supplements

jam

Hi Everyone

I seemed to have lost the plot with the supplements.  Since my Mum's death, I am struggling to get all these down, (very recent).  Taking the antis but does anyone have any advice on how to cope with all the supplements without feeling ill.  My eating is not perfect e.g. I cannot stand large amounts of food and cannot stand on my feet very long at all to prepare anything.

I started the protocol at the  beginning of February.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I lost this response once, due to a violent thunderstorm here.  Trying again...

Okay, a few tricks.  Parcel your supps into an ice cube tray.  Morning in the top half, evening in the bottom half.  Take a few throughout the day, whenever you can tolerate it, til they're gone.

I used to trick myself into swallowing a million pills by telling myself they were pasta.  I can swallow pasta easily, so I'd put a bunch of capsules in my mouth, take a bit of water, swish it all around in my mouth and think "it's pasta".  It always went down.  I used that only when I really felt I could not take EVEN ONE MORE OF THE MILLION PILLS I was taking.

Try taking them with a tablespoonfull of applesauce or custard/pudding.

And, if all else fails, be kind to yourself.  Take your abx, your NAC and your vitamin D3 and just let the rest of it go til tomorrow.  One day won't kill you, but it might make it possible for you to continue on with the protocol in a moment you feel you just can't do it one more day.  You can.  It'll pass.  And your mom will be smiling down at you, delighting in the fact you're getting your life back.

Thanks Mackintosh

I have a pill division for am and pm, I was unsure whether or not I could take a multitude of supplements at the same time.  But I guess  from what you are saying, I can.

Thanks for responding.  Once again, thank you for your kind words.

Hi,

I split my supplements between morning and night. Take the antibiotics at lunchtime. I always take everything while eating, it really helps me.

Take care

Neil

PPMS since Christmas Eve 2010. Started Wheldon protocol Feb' 2014 doxy 200mg a day, Azytrom 3 x week, NAC 2400g day , done 2 full pulses now, beginnig to feel plastic,  nothing is happening,  just a constant unrelenting downward spiral.

Jam, the best idea is not to worry about supplements: the most important thing is the antibiotics. I didn’t even know about NAC until I had started intermittent protocol.  NAC comes into its own when you are starting to think about finishing antibiotics since it is a safeguard against a new infection.  Vitamin D is probably the most important supplement but all else will wait until you start feeling better, which you will, although you might not think so at the moment……………………………..Sarah

Completed Stratton/Wheldon regime for aggressive secondary progressive MS in June 2007, after four years, three of which intermittent.   Still improving bit by bit and no relapses since finishing treatment.

On non-pulse weeks: I start off at 6am with my boost plus, food-based multi-vitamin, milk thistle, kelp, CoQ10, Creatine, and Vit E. Next walk 1.0 km. At 10am NAC and vit. D3. Lunch is 11-11:30am with bannana/more fruit juice/walnuts. 12:15pm is azithro (3 days only/wk) near my meal as it sometimes upsets the tummy, and 1pm is doxy. 4pm is lactobacillus and methyl B12, dinner around 5pm, then 8pm is another NAC and off to bed
