Strep throat

Background - see other post, problems taking doxy/mino, for why i stopped them. About eight or nine weeks ago i had tonsillitis. I had just come off doxycycline due to elevated LFTs, and chalked it up to that. However this one was probably viral (because it was very different to the one that came about two weeks ago, which was strep throat, and was negative on viral swabs).

Two weeks ago, I had a strep throat infection. I had been on mino, but then stopped due to gut pains, and stayed on roxy. I chalked it up to being off the mino, though I'd been off for a couple of weeks, and i think minocyline doesnt treat strep anyway. I needed to take penicillin for it, and noticed i felt a fair bit better on the penicillin

Penicillin kills lyme, and also makes CPn go into hiding. So at that point I was thinking that my major issue is most likely these intracellular infections, of which CPn is one.

Now i know that stopping and starting abx is bad, but i had quite severe side effects and didnt know what else to do. After reading some of Dr Horowitz's book on Lyme, and how single ABX therapy is detrimental and provokes resistance, I've decided I need to find a way to tolerate mino/doxy, or a replacement.

But yesterday... ive noticed two more spots on my right tonsil! This will be 3 tonsilitis infections in about 2 months! The last one, strep throat, being only two weeks ago! Also, I hadnt had tonsilitis for years, until i started trying to do this CAP

I was wanting to re-start the doxy/mino today, but... i may have to take penicillin again! I was reading how Lyme suppresses your immune system, so CPn probably also does, and i think just being on roxy for a while hasn't been helpful. Also, my total globulin levels were just under the normal range, which can be a sign of immune dysfunction.

In a way, ill be glad to have penicillin, but would like it for longer or an alternative like ceflasporin that also hits Lyme, if I can get it. But its a bad sign, obviously. But I can't do the CAP for a long time if I keep getting other infections! I hadnt had tonsilitis for years, until i started trying to do this CAP

Did anyone else get strep throat / tonsilitis / other infections whilst on / starting the CAP?

Ok... touch wood, but the white spots have gone this morning. Hopefully they were just exudate / debris from the last infection that needed to be expelled.

Chronic sinusitis, neurological and cognitive problems. Gotten more severe recently.
CPn, mould exposure, likely Lyme
Roxy, supplements, red/infrared light, cholestyramine. Will start pulsing tini again at some point.

Also.. i thought this would be added to my first blog post. I clearly still need to work out how to blog properly on this site haha
