It has been a while since I gave an update. I am now on pulse 8. I went back on prednisone about 3 months ago because I was having aches and pains again and it seemed to be moving to my lower back and legs. My hands have been bothersome for months - especially my thumbs and wrists. At the last doctor visit, he did an xray of my right hand and said "it's arthritis but lets get an ultrasound". The appointment was scheduled for today. Yesterday my thumbs and wrists hurt so bad I couldn't even erase the white board at work. At the appointment today with Sports medicine, the doctor reiterated it was arthritis and suggested an injection. I agreed.... Holy cow did that hurt! I don't think childbirth was that bad compared to this injection! I have my left one scheduled for two weeks. Glutten for punishment but I know it alleviates the pain. Other than this though, honestly, I think I'm getting better. My elbows don't hurt anymore. I haven't had any shoulder cramping or stinging nerve pain (other than my right hand now from the injection - oh so temporarily awful. My lower back and legs haven't had any pain and I am decreasing the prednisone so I think I have made progress. I'm absolutely not experiencing the brain fog and extreme exhaustion I was last year December. That is huge!

Yes, it is huge! And wonderful. I remember well when things began happening. Congratulations. Not easy but so, so worth it. My disabilities are in the past and I will soon have my 79th birthday. We were recently designated Historical Name in the goat world, something that could not have happened without this. Do what you need to do.

Completed Stratton/Wheldon regime for aggressive secondary progressive MS in June 2007, after four years, three of which intermittent.   Still improving bit by bit and no relapses since finishing treatment.

Yes!!! It’s exciting!
