NAC brands compared

What brand of NAC does everyone use? I used organika at first and i was very pleased with it however, It was sold out so i bought AOR this time and I have a little problem. The capsules are only half full? Both organika and AOR say that its 500 mg but im wondering if the aor brand is 500mg with a half full capsule that is supposed to be full or if its 500 mg in a half full capsule? Organika capsules are stuffed hard and packed in. Im not sure yet but ive been having sinus allergy symptoms that to me represent EB's going mad and Im wondering if its because im not getting the proper dose of NAC ? If anyone has AOR brand could you please tell me if the capsules are only half full?

Also, is thier anyone that was dx'd as penicillin allergic who came to eventually tolerate amoxicillin towards the end of treatment?

Thanks

Since early in taking the CAP, I've been taking the "in-house" brands for NAC from either www.vitaminshoppe.com or www.swansonsvitamins.com.  They are less expensive brands from what I've found and no less effective.

I think I made this change after the second or third month of the CAP.  I've never looked back for the most part.  For that matter, I've done the same with all supplements.

Another alternative source is www.iherb.com, whom I've held as a third alternative to the first two I've mentioned.

all my best

John

We get about half of Kim's sups from the Vitamin Shoppe.  If you get used to when the sales are and you get a customer loyalty card, you can really get good pricing.  We have not noticed any issues with the stuff we get there.   I have to add though, it's very conveniently close to my office and there's no sales tax in DC were I shop.  They also are very good about getting me special orders.  I don't know how they function for mail order though.  Ken

I'm currently using the NSI brand from vitacost.com. Prior to that I had the Holland & Barrett NAC but that worked out 3 times the price.

Hmm I guess nac brands vary greatly on where you live because those brands are all foreign to me. I discovered the problem though. The AOR brand is a vege based capsule and the organika is gelatin based. Im highly allergic to soy which was probably what the AOR capsule was made of which was why i was having such allergy symptoms. I found a store in a near by town and i got my old brand. Thanks for the web resources though, they are always useful to know.
