Muscle twitching

Could anyone explain to me the reason that CPn causes Muscle twitching? For me it is predominantly in my legs, and it is fasciculation rather than gross twitching. My legs often feel as if they are like a bag full of maggots....all moving and writhing under the surface. Going for a walk really makes it worse..... exaggerated twitching for about 5 minutes after I stop, but still nothing really visible.

In CPn, what is it that causes this?

I also have Lyme, so I think my LLMD will suppose this is Bartonella clinically. She is supportive of my CPn treatment, but is still on the learning curve and does not have much experience with CPn.

Also my Adrenals are are conking out and I get Hypoglycemia and low Sodium. Yesterday I took extra salt before I had a walk......I did 5km, which was mega amazing for me...... and my legs hardly twitched at all after.

This just doesn't make sense to me.

Is it all to do with the CPn stealing the energy in the cells?

My experiences are similar, just not exactly the same.  I could go with maggots.    This vicious enemy has many, many weapons at hand, and will use all.  Then, too, when we fight back - we sometimes get unexpected results - usually unpleasant ones.  But then we know something is happening.   Twitching is what I called it, and after several years it stopped.

Do you have a signature, or am I just missing it?

I was never tested for anything, but was so reactive that I knew I was getting something - and still am.

Longshot.....Could the salt have anything to do with "hardly any twitching"?

Did it have a higher than average amount of magnesium? It reduces my twitching, although I don't have it in my legs, seems to emanate from the spine outwards.
