More on the bitter-sweet pill.

It was only three weeks ago that I wrote about my 30th pulse and how easy and 'pleasant' it had been, so easy in fact that I was able to carry on taking Flagyl for 14 days.   Well it just goes to show that one good pulse does not a pattern make... Day two post pulse 31 and my mouth is still full of bitters, my maxilla still aches, my eyes are itchy, my ankles are swollen, my ears are throbbing and my urine is still dark.   But MIRACLE OF MIRACLES the pain in my gut is hardly there and I have regularly been sleeping 7 or 8 hours a night.

I think that my experience is an example of that Tipping Point that Jim and others talk about.   Enough Cpn cells have died in the cell for apoptosis to take place...

I thought my last pulse was easy but spoke to soon as it got me later in week or I was fighting a virus. I am feeling better now but I agree you can't count on any type of pattern. Glad to hear less pain and more sleeping! On Wheldon protocol for MS since April, 2006.  doxy 200 mgs daily, zithromax 250 mgs 3x/ week , Flagyl Pulses start end Sept., LDN 2004. Gad-enhanced MRI of brain and spine shows NO NEW DISEASE ACTIVITY and one lesion diminishing in size on 9/30.

5oo mgs Ceftin 2 x/day, 500 mgs Zithromax, 500 mgs 2 x tini pulses,100 mg diflucan, 4.5 ldn; Wheldon protocol for MS April, 2006 to May 2008. 2008 MRI shows NO NEW DISEASE ACTIVITY, 2012 MRI no new disease activity.

Michele - Thanks for sharing your experience.  It really does amaze me how Flagyl seems to effect people with CPN.  I hope you feel your normal right self soon!

ah yes, the flagyl curse!

Just on day 3 of my 375 mg 1 a day pulse & compared to last time, I am on an emotional roller coaster.

I am very happy you are sleeping better, that alone can be a life saver!
