Low body temperature
I am sure this was touched on in another thread a little while ago--so I apologize for asking--but here goes.
My husband just started adding azithromycin to the mix on Friday. He has had some pretty severe reactions to this (He's suffereing, I'm happy
). He has been very cold (as he often is) and tonight I took his temperature---between 95.1 and 95.6 .Wow, that seemed low to me. I thought endotoxini reaction caused a rise in body temp. I also read in some quick research that LPSi can lower the body temp.
Any low down on his low temp would be greatly appreciated!

Lexy - You need to read the forum topic on side effects from treatment for a lot of tips and clues. Also, we had a thread going for a long time, though it may have been over on ThisIsMS.com, about how so many of us have abnormally low body temps. I was taking mine hourly when I first started abxi and it was 96.2 more than once. My hands and toes aren't chronically cold anymore, so I haven't taken my temp in over a month. I'd report in right now, but I can't even find the thermometer! Tell him his abnormal is normal.

Lexy- Low body temp is a predictable response to endotoxini release, as well as to chronic infection. But that's pretty low! Most CFSi doc's would be looking at lack of T3 (the active component of thyroid) and supplementing that if low to help bring up body temp. Metabolism gets down-regulated in chronic infection.
Dr. Powell uses nitric oxide (NO) producing herbs to help counter endotoxin and help body temp as well: horny goat weed, ashagawanda, ginseng (I use them all twice a day), along with niacini which seems to really help me warm up.
I really encourage the Vitamin C flush to help your husband clear the endotoxin reactions faster. He'll feel much better.
