lol
This is not an upgrade, it is a disaster. If things aren't changed / reverted pretty quickly, this site will be dead.

Is anyone having issues using the new 'improved' site? I'm hating the 'brown and blah' format.

Mac, my previous comment has now appeared. Strange!

Hi All,
I'm the developer for CPNHelp. Please notify in this thread any problems you encounter using the site. I've fixed the problem with the comments not showing hence, Sarah's 'strange' observation.
There will be other issues that need fixing and we can deal with these as we move forward.
Thanks
Kent

There's no way to see a list of recent posts, chronologically.
I detest the brown, boring, antique format and can't find an alternate selection.
Personal statement and how did you find this site seem to have merged and the responses appear as one (illogical) comment.
There's no preview for comments, so most comments appear in the recent activity column without a hint of what they're about.
Photos attached to stories and posts are not opening when one views the post.

Next comment, after chopping off 'www,' if you click on a lot of things, like 'patient stories' you just end up back at the home page....................Sarah

Sorry: that was using 'www' on my phone: it does work with it chopped off, but certain servers automatically add 'www.'

WHY are even the shortest of words being chopped in half, making posts impossible to read?

Hi Everyone, I don't know how to post or create a new Forum. It tells me I need to choose a Forum but there is none to choose that I can see. I wanted to post this new research information about Baking Soda and autoimmune illness: https://medicalxpress.com/news/2018-04-soda-inexpensive-safe-combat-aut…
Perhaps someone can help me or post it for me. Is there a place to see our messages old and new?
Thank you. Mia
Mia, I wouldn't even attempt this now, while the site is jumping all over the place with upgrade issues. Give it a day or two.

Forum post problem fixed. You should be able to select the forum you are posting in on the pulldown menu.

Hang in there and keep letting us know problems as you notice them. Will be improving I promise!
We will be looking into new themes that are better look/feel for the site. That will happen after the bugs worked out on the upgrade first.

Actually, I have made and run three sites but always checked everything before I made a them live. Sarah

If you continue to plough on regardless, keeping faith with the notion that it will all work out in the end, all that will come is an inglorious end.
We all make mistakes. Stop and back away from this unfolding disaster now. This is the place where people come to learn how to get well. This is not the place to learn the difference between fortitude and stubbornness.

Glenn, he can't just go back because the old site was too full of spam errors. I would hope that the new site has the appropriate filters to stop this happening again.
We do need larger windows for posting though, to stop words getting chopped in two.

Sorry, but none of this is working for me and I feel as though a lifeline has been snatched from us all at the moment. Not fit for purpose. I realise an upgrade was needed, but no site should ever be launched until every single issue has been resolved.
We need to be able to see recent posts, in one place, regardless of whether they are blog or forum posts, as we have always done.
I get an error message if I click on 'my account'. Same for clicking on other members' names. Can't find a list of members. Can't find a way to communicate with other members anymore - and all previous messages lost.
Can't access my own blog.
There's no menu or navigation at all on mobile (iphone) - 'show primary links' isn't really a substitute, especially for the brain fogged. No navigation on ipad mini.
Of the four foreign links on the homepage, only Czech works - others go to UK site. Pictures of EBs in blood not showing. All things I'd mentioned before.
Given trying to look at any more of it, as it's all too depressing!

Doesn't look as though there is any way to amend posts either.

Sarah,
You say that we cannot go back. We are sinking in quicksand here. If we cannot go back we are going to sink and go under.
If anybody believes that we can go on existing in this state for weeks on end, they are delusional. A few old-timers will keep faith for a little while but even those will soon realise the futility of it.
Full steam ahead! Full steam ahead!
Really, we would have been better off with just a closed Facebook group.

Well, so this is Drupal 8 now. (It's no use decrying the upgrade; software like this is built on quicksand, and one has to upgrade every couple of years just to have a version that gets security updates.) Hopefully once the Drupal modules that the old site had are added and configured things will be back to usable. But at the moment, I don't see a list of recent posts, and without that I'll probably find it difficult enough to follow the discussions that I'll drift away.
(With Facebook, though, you'd also lose me; I don't do Facebook. Facebook is already cracking down on "fake news", and it's likely that at some point they'll crack down on "fake medicine".)
This is MacKintosh, by the way, not MHW, and I've no idea why it's posting me as someone else.
I'm not about to use facebook for medical issues, either, Norman. I'd advise everyone to take a breather for a couple of days and check back in here to see if it's gotten better or if another solution has been found.

Ditto! Please keep checking back because things are not all lost...........................
