It was a cold winter -- for me

You've succeeded in making it look cold: not really what I want in a non too hot summer, but you could go one step further and add icicles to the nose and lips, which I saw on a programme the other night about some people trying to reach the South Pole in summer.

How are your diatoms?...........Sarah

Actually, it was only cold for me. I was in my bedroom and couldn't get warm enough to sleep. So I found this hood from a discarded jacket of my husband's and it did the trick. As my husband always protests, "It's not cold in here!" To which I reply, "I didn't say IT was cold. I said I was cold." I.E: cpn.

I painted until 11 last night and finally fell asleep about 3:30. I tried the dexedrine several years ago and it had no effect so I didn't expect one this time and forgot that it's a 12 hour pill. I had taken it at 2:45.It was wonderful to have some energy again.

I'm working on a circular acrylic painting inspired by one of the photos you sent me. I tried posting some of my work on this site but the files are too big. Also, I'm having a really hard time photographing them with my Nikon Coolpix and trying to correct them with the lousy software it comes with and on this lousy PC. Boy, I like Apple.

Can you suggest a relatively cheap digital camera that records accurate color?

Will you be getting your Apple back when you are more mobile?  Whether I am using my Olympus digital camera or my real one with a slide film, I have to alter the colour, so I use Photoshop.  As for file sizes, I keep the biggest, some over 30m tiff files and just resize them as required.

You might not have icicles, but your cheeks look frosted.............Sarah
