Vitamins are ramping up, Niacin 375 mg, NAC for 3 wks now 2gms, D 1600U, along with all the rest of the Wheldon recommended supplements & what I normally take.

The NAC has been interesting.  I have noted sharp pain & aches showing up here & there all around my body.  I have, I believe, been experiencing “die off”.  I have had some, how do you say, nerve sensations, skin tingles on my body. Some liver & area tenderness from time to time.  The last few days, lots of ear ringing & ohhh ya, the brain befuggled. So far, nothing more than I can handle.  I am going through that bloating thing again these last few days with the bad gas that I had when I first began the NAC.  I have a problem counter attacking the gas attacks with Vit C flush or Charcoal as I have a lot of supplements I take & not enough time to eat, take them & be awake with the correct spaces of time between each..  I sleep from 10 – 16 hrs a day.  When I first began NAC, I had to have NAC naps & I was overall very tired.  “Crashing” has become common place for me. I have noticed veins are bigger on my abdomen & legs than they were before, I do not understand what that is about.  However, amongst all this, in the past month I have had moments of glory!  Windows of time where I could remember ME!!  I suspect, how I should be feeling once I eradicate the Cpn.  I compare this to golf; it is that one, just amazing smashing hit that keeps you wanting to play!

I am blessed to have a doc that gave me my abx prescription.  He doesn’t understand why any doctor would not want their patient to get well.  I told him this could take a while & he is Ok with it.  He told me to keep him posted with anything new from the site, so I am his eyes & ears on the ground so to speak.

June 18, 2007 I start on 150 mg Azith M/W/F day and 100 mg Doxy AM/PM day (for now)  I am cautious as I have read, reread & intend to read more about how we are all different.  I have the Metro/Flagyl waiting in the wings to pulse?? (when I see it is appropriate, as I have already been taking it with the other antibiotics since mid April.)

Wish me luck, Gods speed (which isn’t necessarily quick)

Blessings All

MAD CAPper –

Ruth- You have really grasped this CAP thing full on. I know you've been browsing through postings that I hardly remember!

Here's one probably cause of the vein thing. EB's are tinyy (see the picture of them attached to red blood cells on our home page) and circulate in the blood stream. This means that bunches of them get stuck or accumulate in peripheral branches of the circulatory system, the venous flow being the most stagnant and thus most likely to accumulate in the veins. Kill EB's and the veins will get temporarily inflamed. Dr. Stratton noted that EB's also obey the law of gravity like everything else (don't we know it!) and will accumulate more in the lower extremities. This is why a lot of us get leg and foot burning and inflammation when killing EB's.

CAP for Chlamydia pneumonia since 11/04. 25yrs CFS & FMS- Currently: 150mg INH, 200 Doxycycline, 500mg MWF Azithromycin, 1000mg Tini daily (Continuous protocol)

About the Vein thing...Ruth, thanks for posting this! You just made me realize that it was when I started NAC (months before I had even considered starting CAP); that this was EXACTLY when I started developing nasty little spider veins, all over my legs, too. They are not getting any better, but worse! Image removed.

My doctor instructed me to increase my Vitamin E intake for it. Have also heard that Vitamin K might help, too.

Oh, how I hope Jim is right, that this is only temporary inflammation. It's been something that has made me want to scream for over a year, now. Image removed.Being a former dancer and model, my legs used to be one of my best features, so this hurtsImage removed.

Here's to hoping they go away for the both of us!!!

Ruth, Great that your doctor is on your side.   Hurrah for thinking doctors...

I've been taking note of your schedule of treatment... Am I right is noting that this is what you are doing:

Azi 150mg x2 each day

Doxy 100mg MWF

The more usual way to start this protocol is to  take

Azi 250mg x1 MWF

(The alternative to Azi  - Roxythromycin which you would take everyday at 150mg x2 is apparently not available in the states ) Azithromycin has a long half life (stays active in your body for a long time) which is why we only take it every other day...

Doxi 100mg daily (maybe to start with, then build up to 200mg)

Some people find Azithromycin makes them feel depressed when taking it to treat Cpn so I would be cautious with the dosage....

Michele (UK) GFA: Wheldon CAP1st May 2006 . Daily Doxy, Azi MWF, Flagyl at 400mg for 7 days prior to 5 day pulses at 1200mg three weeks cycle. Spokesperson for Ella, RRMS Wheldon CAP 16th March 2006

Michèle (UK) GFA: Wheldon CAP 1st May 2006. Daily Doxy, Azi MWF, metro pulse.

I also have varicose veins and spider veins. As a child I was nhappy with how visible the veins on my arms were. Combined Antibiotic Protocol for chlamydia pneumoniae in fibromyalgia, interstitial cystitis, sinus: minocycline, Zithromycin, Flagyl

minocycline, azithromycine, metronidazole 2007-2009, chelation for lead poisoning, muscle pain, insomnia, interstitial cystitis (almost well), sinus, dry eyes, stiff neck, veins, hypothyroid, TMJ, hip joints (no longer hurt)

Thanks Michelle for your discerning eye.  I have brain fog, basically mush, you were correct about my record.  I believe I am doing it the correct way!

Hey, about the veins, they are not only the little niggly red ones, these are also new big green ones that didn't used to be at the surface  =o/

Blessings

Ruth
