Last Wednesday, I decided to start the InterFase Plus for the treatment of biofilms. I was curious to see what, if any, type of reaction I would have. The recommended dosage (on the bottle) is 2-8 capsules per day. Additionally, I have a schedule obtained from an autism parent given to her by the autism doc, Dr. McCandless, but it is too agressive IMO, for me so I decided to only take it on M/W/F, the days I take both Azith and Doxy. (I switched back to Azith, from Roxi January 2010).
I took 1 capsule on an empty stomach, then about 30 minutes later took my ABX... nothing really happened until about 7 hours later, then boy what a punch. I started feeling lethargic, weak, a bit nauseaus, brain-fogged, a bit of tachycardia, then later feeling very warm but not running a fever --- definitely was experiencing some type of die-off effect. Also, the lymph glands in my neck and behind my left ear were swollen and hard and my ears a bit painful. My glands do go "up and down" though, but I noticed a "different" feeling in them. I did not like feeling sick (in this way) again! A totally different type of die-off feeling than I have experienced on the protocol. After experiencing what I did on just one capsule I thought of the children who are given the more aggressive schedule and sympathized with what they must be going through! I took chorella, and then before bed I took charcoal. The next day I felt fairly normal.
I didn't take it Friday, but did take it again this past Monday and again yesterday. Same physical experiences, but yesterday I had some very uncomfortable stomach and gut pain around 8PM. More chorella and charcoal which seemed to help, but didn't abate the pain. I just kept thinking "die, you yeastie beasties, die you CPN" or whatever is in there and not wanting to come out!
To review my blood tests one would think, I am a normal person, with the exception of still high EBV, HHV-6 and CPN titers as well as high Candida Albicans. Additionally, my iron and magnesium are low…. biofilms makes sense and my reactions confirmed something is going on. My plan is to increase the InterFase Plus slowly.
I know biofilms have been presented and discussed here in the past; but, I am thankful for the recent information presented on how to treat them and to those who have shared what they are doing. Additionally, I know discussions of biofilm treatment are present in the Lyme arena, but I never participated or explored there since I don't have Lyme. Biofilms makes so much sense to my scenario. It was like a light-bulb going off for me and I am hoping it may be an important key to my further recovery.
