In the recent posts regarding antibiotic combinations, I have not seen anything about INH. I have been on a couple different regimens (just couldn't tolerate Rifampicin) but basically since April I have been on Doxy/Azithromycin/Amoxicillin. I'm 10 months into treatment and I'm doing okay, the Flagyl pulses are getting much easier to take. My doctor wants to switch me to INH/Probenecid/Amoxicillin (with pulses of Flagyl of course).

I used an antibiotic combination INH 300 mg. X 1 a day and METRONIDAZOL 500 mg. X 2 a day and RIFADIN 300 mg. X 2 a day for 3 months.I had no side effect but herx reactions were longer and severe during this combination. Then swelling started in various parts of my leg and foot which lasted for 2 months.I think this combination made my immune system stronger.

On CAP's protocol for Cpn in PPMS since June 2004 - Currently: Doxy 100mgx2/day - Roxy 150mgx2/day - Flagyl 500mgx3/day (Continuous protocol since sept.2006)

INH- just talked to a Doctor with lot's of experience using the Stratton/Vanderbilt protocol who finds INH very useful. He said, in particular, with CFS/FMS, Lupus, and other patients who seem to plateau on the regular protocol after 8 months, he switches them to NAC, INH and Flagyl. He says there's about 2 weeks of bad herx on the INH, then significant improvement. I'll post more on the "Experts" eventually.

On Wheldon/Stratton protocol for Cpn in CFS/FMS since December 2004.

Switched to INH just recently. My doctor put me on Cuprimine, INH and of course the pulsed Flagyl. I guess Dr. Stratton has been doing some experiments that show that this combination might confer immunity to Cpn. Just went through my 3rd round of Flagyl. Managed to get to five days and felt pretty good but towards the end I felt as if I was falling off the earth. Intense transitional muscle pain, ringing in the head, overall malaise and some sleep problems. Fought back with antioxidants, melatonin, charcoal and b12. Feeling a little better today. The bad symptoms seem to strike at the end of the day and evening. Raven
