My protocol journey was interrupted about six months ago with the passing of my stepfather and dementia diagnosis of my mother. It’s taken a lot of my time up; I was distracted from the protocol and haven’t taken any antibiotics for about six months. I’d like to start again but I’m not quite sure whether to start all the abx together or phase them in slowly. I’d be grateful of your opinions please 🙂

Hello Tufty,
Boadicea, this sounds about right to me, but you have to wait three months before starting metronidazole!

Hello Tufty, I have forgotten how many antibiotics you were taking; three or four? I have never taken more than three at any one time, since David thought that unless you were treating a vicious infection, it was better to take as few as possible, especially when taking something long term. Hence, I took rifampicin for six months but stopped doxycycline and carried on roxithromycin.
I would suggest that you don't take rifampicin any time soon, if at all. I think that I could have managed without ever taking it, especially since it made my walking a lot worse for that period

My experience is that it’s…
My experience is that it’s definitely best to start them one at a time and add the next as each one is tolerated. If you find you tolerate them well, you can soon move on and add the next.
