What I need, to screen applicants for membership here, is a box that REQUIRES they answer a couple of simple questions, like how they found us and what they hope to gain from this page. It helps me weed out the spammers, who tend to type nonsense like "skdjdisy", just to fill the spaces.

Certainly!' What colour is snow?' seems to be a favourite at the moment, but I managed to get it wrong, because I didn't think anyone could ask such a silly question!

PANTONE 11-0602... it will depend on how dirty the snow is... :p Mac! What is the number of applications you are managing weekly? Is it manageable? What is the amount of fake applications you are dealing with? Could it be possible (and again... just brainstorming) to do it automatically? Asking to verify their email, or with one of these '4FCT6 I'm not a robot' verification codes? Not for them, but for you...

Barcelona, G, The number of applications has dropped considerably from the sometimes 100/day, thanks to something our former site manager did (though I know not what he did to limit it). So, now, a few a day. It's dwindled to nothing because the site has been so user-unfriendly, I'm sure.

Mac, looking at Jim's info for the new update, it is because of the new software to detect spammers. I've not found any of the other stuff you wanted yet, though!
