I happened to look up roxithromycin's water solubility recently, and was surprised to read that it's exceedingly low. Some sources flatly list it as "insoluble" or "sparingly soluble", others have low values (e.g.

This is interesting to me. I was on Keto before I started the Cpn Protocol (CAP). I've always taken Roxithromycin with something fatty ---usually cheese.
Thanks for sharing.

That's interesting, as roxi is generally recommended to be taken on an empty stomach.

Interesting Norman, since David decided that I should use roxithromyxin rather than azithromycin, even though it was harder to obtain.
The entire combination worked exceedingly well with me, but now I can't ask him why that was his choice.

Yes, he would have been the one whose comments on this I'd most have wanted to hear. If memory serves, you did take your antibiotics with a meal, and you're no fat-phobe.
Norman, no, I am no fat phobe: I always ate a well balanced diet and I always took my abx with at least a small amount of food. Doxycycline would cause me to sick everything back up otherwise!

Hum... great info!! And even better is... people!!!! I am so glad to see others on this site. Yippee.
Regarding Roxi, I take it in the morning before a meal and sometimes do not eat breakfast. I take so many pills, they often fill me up, hahah.
CAP on my own since 04/20. Roxi 300/Doxy 200/Flagyl or Tini pulses every 3-4 wks/20+ supplements adjusted monthly. Battling die off & porphyria often. First improvements noted @ 8 months.

Just switch to Roxi from Azith recently - 2 years on CAP.
My whole body is burning and throbbing - quite confused about this so far in.

tgferg67, I'm afraid that I don't understand this at all, unless your supply of azithromycin was sub par.

I see the bug that eats the tail of the first post has struck again. Here's the rest:
Some sources flatly list it as "insoluble" or "sparingly soluble", others have low values (e.g. 0.0189 mg/L at 25 C), and there's a study which states that "roxithromycin has only 50% oral bioavailability due to its poor aqueous solubility and for this reason, its potential for optimal therapeutic effect are limited." I'm guessing that this means it is best taken with a fatty meal, as is recommended for fat-soluble vitamins such as Vitamins A and D, so that it dissolves in the fat and then gets absorbed with it.
