Dehydration. Don't do what I do, do what I tell you!

Body

Don't do what I do, do what I tell you!Hi All!Mack has requested that I write something on this topic … so here goes.Back in early 2009, I didn't need advice from hypochondriacs, the health-conscious sandal-wearing, vitamin-popping people.  In those days, I didn't just know a little … I knew it all. When you are reasonable ok and you're not in pain it's the easiest thing in the world to be arrogantly smug.  I had the T-shirt and the badge to put on it.  I had just been promoted.  I had the suit, the tie and a big company car with a 2 litre engine.

Maybe your humor is well-aged, too. WinkI've been drinking a lot more water since hearing that story, since I now carry a permanent image of a piece of dried out meat laying on the desert sand.

Hey ...Now I know where they got that song title from! ....    ....        ????  Yeah: "Mack the kinife!"Mack, your cutting words tear my tender heart apart.  I keep saying here: I got feelings!:-(G

And here I thought I was being warm.  Fuzzy, even?  Truly it was a compliment.  InnocentOh.I just realized you might think I was equating your humor with dry meat in the desert.  Not the case.  Sorry. (Maybe I should have made those two comments separate posts, so there'd be no confusion. My apologies.)

After this excellent piece of writing you still don’t wash your doxy down with lots of water?  I despair of you! Frown.................SarahA Journey through Light and Shadow

Core ...You sound so like a teacher, Sarah.Yeah, the doxy stays down ok ... but it's plugged down with lots of food.  I figure that when it hits the stomach, so long as there's plenty mulch and maybe a mug of tea, that'll do.Is that ok, Miss?  lolG

I am actually a tough old peice of meat and all of my comments are meant to be taken with a pinch of salt ... my humour is never to be taken too serriously or to heart.  I always say "If you can't laugh then why live?"  My feigned offence is all for a laugh and nothing more.G

HI Supaguy,I am sure that you are right and I am sure that I need to drink more water.  There is a constant battle about water inside my head.  One part is telling me to drink more and the other cautions me not to because my bladder is weak and my legs might not get me to a bathroom on time.

Hi HGMy logic subconciously for not drink enough water is that I drive many miles a day and using my car seat as a loo is not an attractive option.  It's never come to that and never will ... but it is that aspect that, I'm sure, restricts our water intake. How about a New Year's Resolution that we will drink 2 litres a day of spring water?G

Well, Healthy, we really have that in common! (It's much easier if you can just unzip your fly. Ahem!) But, while reading Supaguy's post, I did reach for the bottle of water I keep on the table next to me.

Hi there,Yes it is a man's world in many ways!I am putting in a powder room on my main floor this January (crossed fingers due to a busy contractor).  Once that is in place I will attempt the 2 liter challenge -- but it will take some time to work up to that amount.

I keep a 1.25 litre bottle of water beside the chair I watch the telly in, if it is not empty after dinner then I know I have not drunk enough that day and so proceed to empty it ASAP so I am not getting up all nightSmile.  I found having a bottle, the easiest way to see how much I am drinking.  I also drink around 3 cups of tea a day so get over 2 litres in total a day.  2 pulses ago I discovered if I drank a lot of water i hardly had any nausia, so that is what i try to do during and for a few days after a pulse. This will be TMI for some, but as i am typing I need to go but am able to ignore it for a few minutes to finish this message.  That is how much my bladder has improved Smile. Ok MUST go now.

MS Diagnosed 07/03/05, copaxone Jan 2011 to Jan 2013, started doxy 13/10/12, started roxy 06/11/12, increased doxy 28/11/12. first metro pulse 01/01/13. Tini Dec 2014. Fampyra,B12,Vit C,Vit D3,Vit E,Vit K2, NAC,ALA,AcetylL-Carnitine,Fish oil,

The point is that men, once they have arrived at the toilet, needn't turn around and undress.

Women have the same option... well almost.... Google sheweeThey are pretty good - used it while filming ski DVDs HOWEVER - I discovered on a canoeing trip that they don't work well if you stand uphill... not enough pressure builds to get fluid uphill direction before body connection leaks Surprised   As someone never ceases to remind me...my excuse it was HIM that said 'no don't go over there just here is fine ... as I headed to the place I'd used earlier...So face flat or downhill - then they work well and you don't need to get all undressed

“Core ...You sound so like a teacher, Sarah.”Funny thing but when I was six I used to teach all the young neighbourhood children to read and write.  I had a little blackboard and used to use that.  Strangely they used to listen to me, so maybe somewhere I lost my vocation!........................SarahA Journey through Light and Shadow
