Interesting, Norman. Permanent livedo reticularis often implies vasculitic disease; I saw it quite commonly in persons with raised C. pneumoniae IgA antibodies.Though temporary LR can be benign (cold water bathing will bring it on, particularly in young women) permanent LR can be associated with a whole raft of clinical syndromes.
