The way i see this is that it is putting on a bandaid without fixing the root cause. the myelin sheath gets depleted becuase your body scavenges it in the need for nutrients. seems like he can fix the shealth. you still need to kill the CPN though!

I think your view is correct, Mlsandstra: as well as working on the disease mechanisms, you have to work on what actually caused the disease in the first place.  Get rid of the cause and your body should be healthy enough to allow you to fight the MS itself, as happened with me..........................Sarah
