IM BACK! HI EVERYONE!

Body

Hi everyone and God Bless. Its been a good while since I posted. there has been a lot going on that I need to share with you all. I am currently taking a break from the protocol. I am pleased to say that the protocol saved my life. I was on it for 2 1/2 years. I will probably do another cycle in 6-12 months.  I still have minor symptoms such as some fatique and a little depression but I solved those with LDN and Lexapro. I still get skin burning but thats from the Fibromyalgia. One day I will be 100% symptom free. A little arthritis here and there but not much.

Comments

It's good to hear from you. I'm glad you're doing better.

minocycline, azithromycine, metronidazole 2007-2009, chelation for lead poisoning, muscle pain, insomnia, interstitial cystitis (almost well), sinus, dry eyes, stiff neck, veins, hypothyroid, TMJ, hip joints (no longer hurt)

Great to hear from you Lee. Norman is correct---please get a blood test for D levels right away. Life Extension is currently having a sale on their blood tests. Very easy to do and inexpensive--go to the site and choose the test and pay for it. They send you a lab form--go get blood drawn and they send you results. They use Lab corp not Quest, BTW. Lab Corp has been getting more accurate readings according to what I have been reading. Here is the link:http://tinyurl.com/27drhr3 I have done the D test through them and highly reccommend it for anyone taking large doses of D.Raven

Feeling 98% well-going for 100. Very low test for Cpn. CAP since 8-05 for Cpn/Mycoplasma P.,Lyme, Bartonella, Mold exposure,NAC,BHRT, MethyB12 FIR Sauna. 1-18-11 begin new treatment plan with naturopath

lee mcghee,   I looked at your post and not quite sure I believe it.  Are you taking 50,000 IU of Vitamin D every three hours as in; 15 hours / 3 = 5 times a day, 5 *50,000 IU = 250,000 IU / day.  How many days have you been doing this?  As mentioned above I would blood test your levels for D and maybe a kidney and liver function check as well.  I have read this amount being tried but in a controlled situation and monitored by a researcher.  Anyone else reading this I would be careful at these levels, 25,000 IU / day maybe is not an issue with a blood test but 250,000 IU / day is quite a bit of D.  If it takes a few months to raise Vitamin D levels then it would seem it would also take a few months to come down, any one else know this?  I am not making a judgment as right or wrong but I think the research is not there to validate it, at least I have not found much on the Internet and looked quite a bit.  If you do test for D please post as I would be interested in the blood level results found.    As far as the rest of the post it sounds like you still have chronic Cpn possible.  The Interstitial Cystitis, depression, fatigue and Fibromyalgia all linked to Cpn.  Research has shown antidepressants are linked to help fighting infection and maybe that is what you are also trying to do with the Lexapro, see link below.  I take Lithium and believe in my case it is involved in the infection process with me but I use it for severe depression and it works very well, I can barely function without it and I am Bipolar as well. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17287092

Cpn, Mycoplasma, Chronic EBV, M.S.(MRI, Spinal Tap-greater than 5 oligoclonal bands and VEP), PANDAS(OCD). Wheldon CAP (started 12/08), Azithromycin/Clarithromycin(12/09), Lithium, Lamictal, NAC(2.4g/day), D3(15,000IU/day)

Lee, I'm hoping you mean 50,000 iu of vitamin D every three days, not every three hours?

Lee, I too hope that MacKintosh has picked up you mis-type correctly and that you have read Norman's linked information from the April Vitamin D counsel newsletter on another person's recent toxic level experience.  I worry for you health if what you wrote is actually what you are doing.I am taking high Dose Vitamin D and doing well as described below in my signature and I am tested regularly both winter and summer and inbetween to be sure that my level does not become excessive.I hope you come back to read these comments that have been made to you!

I am taking 50,000 IUs every 3 hours. I have done a lot of research and toxicity might occure only after months of this treatment. Some Holistic doctors currently treat some patients with sever infections 600,000 IUs a day. Theres new research out there that says Vitamin D is crucial in the activation of T-cells. I dont need a test to know that its working. Vitamin D toxicity is rare and only after months of taking extrememly high doses can it occur. not a single case has ever been recorded.

Fibro, CFS,  Myco, CPN, Stratton protocol, Zithro 500mg M/W/F/S, Doxy 100mg 2x day, NAC 1200mg 2x day, Flagyl and INH 2 week pulses 400 mg 3x day, Rifampin, 300mg 2x day,  Still cant shake it but improving.

Lee my question to you is did you even read the link that Norman provided? What was your starting level of Vit D3 before you entered into this experiment?  Did you have one drawn?I would strongly suggest that you follow the advice above and do a self test ASAP. I know people who take 5000 IU/day  and are stable at 65 ng/mL level.   I need 10,000 IU/day to get to the same range.  Individual capacity varies greatly, anyone going over 5000 IU/day is strongly suggested to test every 3 months or so until they know their stable level both summer and winter.I do hope that no one else reading your post follows that risky path that you have set for yourself. And therefore,I will put that caution here in print and in bold face type.       Louise
