Hypothyroid. Tyrosine improves T4 toT3 conversion
Since taking Tyrosine 500mg first thing a.m. with t4 & t3, for 18 months my bi-annual t4 readings have been well within normal range, & I've felt less like a zombie.
For anyone recently diagnosed Hypothyroid:- it took me nearly 3 years to adjust to the medication, i.e. regain something like my normal persona & functioning.
In recent years my UK consultants instigated 6 monthly check-ups. This didn't take place until after insisting with a GP that I must see a consultant, because I found out that my blood test results were far into the abnormal range. Evidently no GP had bothered to look at them for several years, but when I asked about them, I was told that they were normal. This was despite me complaining for 3-4 years of what are standard malfunctions in hypothyroidism.Their ignorance/laziness is stunning.
Thanks to this website, I am currently surreptitiously training my GP to do the job properly.

Hopeful, welcome back. Your information may help someone, thanks for sharing.
And ask I suggested last May, it would be great if you blog your history on a blog page and make a signature so that folks can understand your treatment plan and diagnosis. This may get you better feedback as people can see where your at and what your are doing to help yourself.
If you go back and read the several blog pages that you started I made some suggestions there with detailed how to. Take a look at my blog pages, you can link to them by clicking on my username after submitted by at the top of this post and you can do the same for others who make comments.
The other good reason to ask specific questions from blog pages is that when you want to find them again they are easy to locate this way if you begin to post a lot. I do hope you will be posting more regularly. Louise
