High Cortisol due too infection?

My cortisol spit test came back yesterday. Horrible high at 8 o clock in the morning. The afternoon test was ok and the onelate evening slightly elevated.

Anyone else having this problem?

How long does it take to feel the effects when taking seriphos and holy basil?

I use Seriphos and it helped me to sleep the same night

I would assume it lowered my Cortisol

DAILY: NACi 2400MG , DHEAi sublingual , CoQ10 200 mg, vit D3 2,000 IU, multi vits, Folapro, Doxyi 200 mg. 2 or 3 PER WEEK  Astaxanthin, Azithromycin 250 mg,B12, Coffee retension enema, Flagyli 6 day pulse, Thyme Thujanol twice a week

Cesare,

Yes, Seriphos will help balance adrenals if they are not too bad.

A few of us here have adrenal problems, I had to start Cortef, which actually created issues for me as corticosteriods feed CPNi.  Until I started pulsing (I finally figured out) I would go through cycles of not keeping up with the killing of the CPN.  I thought the Azith wasn't working...  I switch back and forth between Azith and Roxi.

FWIWi, be sure yeast issues are in control as it can throw all hormones out of whack, too (but I believe the infection  can definitely hit thyroid/adrenals).

I have the opposite problem--my test came back as low. I am now taking Isocort. I have to adjust the dosage though as 4 tablets made me too hyper. I am now down to two.

Did they check your DHEAi levels at the same time?

No one directly answered the question

Does infection raise cortisol?

Thanks

Yes, it can....  (read the link from Dr. Lam's site; or, google!), it explains adrenal fatigue and its causes...)  infection can cause stress, stress taxes the adrenals......  Cortisol can rise abnormally before the adrenals head into exhaustion (which mine did).

That makes sense because when I over do it sometimes I get insomnia

From what I'm learning overdoing it causes die off and all the die off in the body activates the sympathetic nervous system..... cortisol

DAILY: NACi 2400MG , DHEAi sublingual , CoQ10 200 mg, vit D3 2,000 IU, multi vits, Folapro, Doxyi 200 mg. 2 or 3 PER WEEK  Astaxanthin, Azithromycin 250 mg,B12, Coffee retension enema, Flagyli 6 day pulse, Thyme Thujanol twice a week

Also, isn't cortisol supposed to help reduce inflammationi? If so then high cortisol would be a natural response from the body trying to control the effects of the infection...
Diagnosed with MSi on March 2009, started CAPi on Jan 2010. Doxyi 200mg- Roxyi 300mg- NACi and all major supplementsi.

Yes, that is true.... here is a link on previous conversations here on the site re this topic:

I read the post but did not really understand it

They don't use layman's language

But it looks like Cpni does raise cortisol levels

DAILY: NACi 2400MG , DHEAi sublingual , CoQ10 200 mg, vit D3 2,000 IU, multi vits, Folapro, Doxyi 200 mg. 2 or 3 PER WEEK  Astaxanthin, Azithromycin 250 mg,B12, Coffee retension enema, Flagyli 6 day pulse, Thyme Thujanol twice a week
