For those of you who went to Sunday school...

Join with me in singing (to the tune of "Oh, How I Love Jesus"):

Oh, how I hate hydrazine

Oh, how I hate hydrazine

Oh, how I hate hydrazine

Because it upsets my stomach.

First session of intermittent therapy nearly completed.

So I googled hydrazine and this link is what has me asking, is hydrazine what you really mean?

And I could not find it in a recent Drug handbook either.

So glad that you decided to go onto intermittent CAP.

From the English edition of Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/INH):

Isoniazid (also called isonicotinyl hydrazine or INH) ...

Our good friend and antibiotic INH is a hydrazine which I guess also pretty much explains why it has the potential to be so toxic.

Kind of makes you wonder about the thought process when it was first used as an antibiotic; "I've got this stuff here that's a great rocket fuel and a passable fungicide that kills the farmers who handle it so I wonder what's the worst that could happen if I give it to a bunch of people with tuberculosis?"

CAP for M.S. 8/2007 - 3/2009.  Twentieth pulse metronidazole + INH completed 3/12/2009.  Intermittent treatment thereafter until 11/20/2009.

Tuberculosis is one crafty lifeform.  Guess you need something as strong as rocket fuel to attack it.
