First tini pulse, answers to questions please?
I have just completed my first tinii pulse. All I could manage was 1 day (2x500mg). I was worried about going any longer because of the possibility of delayed effects. I have read quite a few horror stories of people ending up in hospital etc. I'm pretty scared of the pulsing. I've got nobody to look after my son if I get totally incapacitated.
My reactions where:
Nausea
Anxiety (although I already had this to a lesser degree because I was dreading the pulse so much!)
Pain in my left arm/shoulder/neck/behind ears
Slight loss of coordination
Headache (mild)
Increased fatigue
Increased facial tingling
My questions are:
Am I risking causing the bacteria to become resistant to tini if I take such short courses of it?
Should I think about doing a pulse again in a couple of weeks instead of in 3 to 4 weeks?
Has anyone else felt really anxious and weepy durng this treatment or am I just falling apart emotionally?

First off, congrats! You've done the hard part, which is to swallow the first pill. (I was a wreck, all alone, the day after Thanksgiving. I went to bed and slept. When I woke up, I figured 'good, I'm not dead'.
)
All the reactions you've described are our version of 'normal'. And, anxious and weepy are hallmarks of flagyli, and, to a lesser extent, tinii.
We often tell people to take just one pill and call it a pulse. You can always do two the next time. Then, you can try three the following pulse. You've already arrested replication by taking the first two abxi, so you can be slow and steady about taking the third and killing off the cpni. Give yourself a few weeks and don't try to do too much, too soon. When you feel ready, try another one or two days. This is not a contest. Rushing is foolish.
And, please remember, most of us haven't been rushed to the hospital or been laid flat-out by the protocol. People (much like you're doing now) who are concerned about some issue or another come here to post and ask advice and look for comfort. Those who breeze through it, and there are a lot of us, don't come here and post, "Hey, I'm pulsing and everything is just fine." You're getting a disproportionate view of what percentage have a bad time of this only because those are the people who tend to post more often here.
Relax. The protocol was designed to make it possible to live your life while treating your disease. I never missed a day of work due to the protocol and the odds are good you'll find it much easier than you expect.
