Finding a Doctor
A friend of mine has recurrent flu. I don't know whether it's pneumonia or something else but her current doctor was obviously not making any grounds on helping her to get rid of it. So I decided to go see what I could with respect to doctors in her area that might be more helpful to talk to then the one she's been working with.
What I found is a web site that lists doctors by state, specialty, and name. It's a directory where you might have better luck finding a doctor, one that specializes in Infectious Disease and is familiar with chronic infection.

The site lets you look for a variety of doctors. Would what you're talking about be found there, potentially?
Alternatively, where would you look?

John, this is the big problem with any long term abxi therapy, it is out of the norm thinking. Generally how people find LLMD's is word of mouth. You can try the ILDA website however they allow only three searches per month so if you use that site target a city that is likely to have a good number of MD's. If you enter your local small town your chances of location one is quite reduced.
Here in my state world of mouth is the best way and then the few that are treating are closed to new patients, and they are generally out of pocket and then you submit the office fee yourself and see what your insurance will do with it. Frankly the unavailability of enough doctors to treat in this fashion does drive individuals to selftreat.
Wish I had a good answer to your question. Louise

You keep talking about a web site but not posting it. Please post it here so that other people might use it, thanks.

Thanks Louise, this possibly will help others find a doctor at some point down the road.
If anyone reading this had any other ideas of where to look, please do not hesitate to post information about where one can look.
