Yes, thank you. I'm sorry, I

Yes, thank you. I'm sorry, I thought I had pm'ed you back. (Hey look, I've got an excuse -- msi + broken ankle.)  I passed all the info on to my friend. I simply thought that I remembered a doctor in Manhattan. She would be travelling up from Maryland and the bus, of course, drops her in Manhattan. Being in the UK you may not realize that all of these doctors, except the one in the upstate NY city of Rhinebeck, are in outer suburbs of the city. But really, the info was VERY much appreciated. Thank you Michele.

Why not travel to Tennessee

Why not travel to Tennessee to Dr. Sriram or someone else at Vanderbilt. Looks about the same distance. Linda

There is an inexpensive bus

There is an inexpensive bus that you can take to Philly and commuter lines out to the suburbs. From D.C. to Vanderbilt is FAR and expensive for air + hotel. She has friends in NYC that she can stay with. Her best option would be a Maryland doctor that took Medicaid but that doesn't seem likely. If only there were someone at Johns Hopkins, but the neurology dept. there threw me out. BTW, she doesn't own a car.
