Doctor in Australia who is happy to prescribe CAP treatment
Hello!
I am pretty new to these pages. I live in Sydney and I am looking for a doctor who would be happy to prescribe CAPi treatment. So far I am awaiting my PRC blood results for Chlamydia and Mycoplasma. I am expecting them to be positive as I suffer from range of symptoms quite similar to those listed and voiced on these pages.
So far I haven't been able to locate any doctor who would have any experience with this treatment protocol. Please let me know where to look for help.
Thank you.

Hi Berry, I just saw my MD last Friday. I am in my 11th month of tx and my wbc is a bit low as well. He seem not to concerned since we do know that I have an infection. No plan to repeat it so for me it was no big issue in his eyes. On a positive note he wrote me a years worth of Rx for doxyi, azythro, tinii. I see him again in a few weeks for bio identical hormones and bone health. Hoping to hear more from you.

Berry - Mild neutropenia
Berry - Mild neutropeniai could be caused by a number of things. Would wait three weeks and then get another CBC to see if anything has changed. Your WBC's could just be busy fighting off some other issue plus the CAP and CpNi.
Since it's approaching winter in your part of the world, you might just up your probiotics, wash your hands more and stay away from babies and children if you can and those who otherwise might be sick for a little extra insurance..

I'm not the best person to answer this, but I don't think it is too late for this to happen. There is a theory here that there comes a time in the treatment when enough cpni have been killed for a mass apoptosisi to happen, I think that could result in this kind of symptom, but don't take my work for it.

Hello! Just a short update
Hello!
Just a short update from my cruise on WP. I am currently entering the 8th month and I definitely hit a rocky path. I need your opinion on one thing:
Since my last blood test (two moths ago) I manage to developed mild neutropeniai, which can be caused by dying of infected white cells. (as I learnt). The question is I am now the 8th month down the protocol - isn’t it a little bit late for this? I mean this should have happed earlier, right? This thought brings me to the idea that it might be ABXi induced neutropenia. But how can I tell the difference? More over I am not sure what to do. I don't like the idea of sitting and waiting and doing nothing.
Thank you for any suggestions.

Thank you all for your experience and expertise with this “ringing matter”. Nothing is more valuable than personal experience of others going through the same or similar process. The CPni Handbook page for
The CPni Handbook page for Doxycycline http://www.cpnhelp.org/doxycycline_patient_infor lists ringing or buzzing in the ears as a possible side-effect of doxycycline. It also says to talk to your doctor if it is troublesome, severe or doesn't go away as treatment goes on.
I've had tinnitusi since I was 21 (prolonged exposure to gunfire without adequate hearing protection) so if doxycycline or the endotoxinsi were causing me to have ringing in my ears, I'd never know it.

I am pretty certain mine
I am pretty certain mine will pass as well. My ears were always prone to getting ear aches starting from a child & to present day. I think the CPni is in there & it will abate as the critters are kicked out of my nest.
I have also read somewhere that high doses of Vitamin Di could cause ear ringing. But for modern day medicine, perhaps it is just the critters being roused from their habitat & it is blamed on the vitamin D itself.
Well, that's my story & I am sticking with it!

Hello, Berry- I have all
Hello, Berry-
I have all the symptoms of bilateral labyrinthitis, that is to say, imbalance, vertigo, tinnitusi. It's particularly interesting as it isn't present in the early morning. It comes on about mid-morning and worsens during the afternoon. I think it may be due to haem precursor release, because it's eased (but not eradicated) by 80mg propranolol. I think it will eventually go, as affected cells die out. Stress worsens it enormously.
Here's a good site on labyrinthitis: http://www.labyrinthitis.org.uk/

Berry, my ear (left) has buzzed for about a year... it's very annoying and sometimes sounds like a "whooshing" or as if bees are swarming in my ear. It's funny, as it is only my left ear. Occasionally I do have ringining in both ears.
When I became ill with this the first time (Nov. 06, before CPNi was discovered). I was given Omnicef.... I thought I was getting well.. and then I came down with SEVERE vertigo. Personally, I think the antibiotic sent the CPN running and it is in my ears (LoL) I have been on CAPi now since March of 2007 and still have this going on. Just within the last week, though, both of my ears have been feeling "itchy" deep inside and and they keep popping (like when you are on a plane). Maybe the abxi is finally reaching that area...I hope so as it does get annoying! :)

I've had several ear sensations (always the left ear). I've also had tinnitusi in the past - before treatment, and when I first started treatment. The sensation I had was of hearing planes flying directly overhead. Now I live in London so planes do fly, though not directly overhead, and not constantly. This was constant - there's a jumbo jet hovering over your house. Turns out it was the traffic in the distance magnified to sound like a jumbo.
I say that because I also noticed a distortion/magnification of base sounds - e.g. when watching tv / listening to music.
Thankfullly all gone, though I still get the inflammationi in the ear during die off. I like the endotoxini lymph gland explanation because thats what it feels like to me.

You could say it is the Abxi doing this, in my experience the tinnitusi occurs for me when I was doing a pulse with flagyl. The way I see it, it is the action of the antibiotics on Cpni lesions in the ear that cause it. I don't get tinnitus any longer (or vertigo for that matter) but I am still taking the antibiotics, so for me it is the ABXi doing their job that causes tinnitus and vertigo.

I believe both Sarah and David reported she heard the sound of 'distant machinery', as did someone else, later on. Mine was a very pleasant 'chime' sound, twice, then gone forever, apparently. (My lifelong tinnitusi remains unchanged.)
Berry, Sarah has an 'h', which will affect searches for her posts.
If I had the time, I'd be happy to search for it, but it's just not possible today. I was very brief before because I was already late for an appointment and I still have hours of work ahead of me tonight. You might just ask her.

Ah, I think I see the problem. (I re-read my first post to see if I misled you.) I said 'search for tinnitusi', then mentioned something said by Sarah. You guys searched 'tinnitus, Sarah'.
I didn't say she posted about tinnitus! She and/or David posted about the noise she heard. The word tinnitus may or may not have been used in that specific post. My earlier recommendation was search 'tinnitus'.
You might actually have better luck searching 'distant machinery' or a variation on that. Now I really must get back to the grind.

Buzzing noise
One quick question – did anyone suffer from the ringing (buzzing) noise in the ears during the treatment with WP? The ringing started about a week ago approx. 3 weeks after my third Tinii pulse; it’s very annoying and I am not sure why do I experience this symptom (I never had it before). Maybe it is a side effect of ATB, or endotoxini or something else? Will this stay with me or will this eventually go away?
Thank you.

Good Morning, Berry. Well,
Good Morning, Berry. Well, my take is that you have enough indication that you may well have both C.Pn. and Mycoplasma to consider it so and go from there. The wonderful combination of the Wheldon Protocol antimicrobial agents is that the cover a fair number of possible pathogens that can be major contributors to an extremely diminished quality of life.
One of the keys to working the process, as has been stated by many of the folks here, in the past postings, particularly in the blogs of folks is that we need to realize that there is generally not an instant cure, which I believe that you know, and that the process is harder for may of us particularly within the first 2 - 6 month and this can be very discouraging.
Occasionally, I entertain similar dark thoughts about will this work for me? Then I say to my self well, how were things working before I started? I say not very well at all. Then I say, what other options do I have? I say, none that I know of that will take care of this declining state of disfunction. Then I say, I believe that those folks the have worked and reported the process here are telling their truth. I also say to myself, and there are some that have gotten weller faster and have not told about it, and I say there are some the were not willing to go through the agony of making themselves sicker feeling to get weller and have stopped and like are still left feeling sick. Then I ask myself am I doing this protocol safely as reccomended? Which it sure looks like you are. Also you are at the one month mark and some of your cells are beginning to evict the uninvited bacteria and you are likely to be feeling a bit worse now again and that is difficult.
So I am wondering if you are truely ready for the next step of the Tinii? Or are you pushing in the race to the finish line? Maybe you are ready, I only ask to give you some perspective that we do as much as we can as fast as we can, but don't want to figuratively fall on our faces and stop.
Can you say a little more about your initial symptoms and your current syptoms. What were you initial chief complaints with your life that had you seeking help?
So wonderful to see how this is site is reaching all around the planet!

Hi!
Yes, I've got my results back!
PCRi on blood sample did not show any Chlamydia infection; it was positive “only” for mycoplasmas. I also had blood serologyi done which was positive for Chlamydophila in IgAi and IgG and negative for mycoplasma species. These test results are a bit puzzling for me.
I managed to find one open minded GP who was happy to prescribe the antibioticsi used in Wheldon protocol. Because I was feeling quite ill I started the protocol as soon as I managed to get together all supplementsi.
At the moment I feel I am loosing the plot a little bit. Let me explain. Last year when I was feeling sick I wanted to know badly what’s wrong with me so as I can start treating it. These days when I already know what might be the reason behind my problems I am not happy again as I going through fears whether the treatment is going to work for me (e.g. it might be more to it - something we are not capable to identify yet or I haven’t been tested for).
I wish you all All the Best on your journey through this malady.
